Students will continue working with Act II of the play. We
Lesson will read aloud in class while continuing to take notes and

Students will complete a brief reading quiz over the
Lesson remainder of Act II. They will then be viewing Acts I and II
of the film version of The Crucible. The students will have

contrasting the film and the story in the form of a
Students will begin drafting Composition #4, an analysis of

Students will have this day to draft their compositions, which

We will be continuing The Crucible by reading Act IV and
Lesson taking notes during our discussion. We will also have a
review of how to write “themes.”
Students will continue reading Act IV during class. They
Homework will also be introduced to the idea of their timed essay, which
will also encourage them to fill in any note-taking they may
not have done.
