James Cook
James Cook was born in England and was born from October 27/1728 and died on February
14/1779. He was born in Yorkshire in England. He was a British naval captain, navigator, and explorer
who explored the seaways and coasts of Canada in 1759, 1763-67. He made (explored) his way to
North America to Australia and to New Zealand. He went to school that he learned his naval skills.
He wasn’t afraid of any seas. He was promoted to mate in 1752. James Cook took three trips to the
Pacific.
