1 Three Wineries, One Day
Plan a special outing with five of your friends and be the guests of three wineries in one day in the
Eola Hills/Salem/Dayton area! Your adventure is to be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date
between now and December 31, 2011.
You’ll have a VIP tour and be treated to an educational wine tasting
and food pairing lunch with co-owner Marilyn Webb at Bethel
Heights Vineyards. Founded in 1977, Bethel Heights was one of the
first vineyards planted in the Eola Hills region. The beautiful tasting
room commands a panoramic view of the vineyards, the valley below,
and Mt. Jefferson in the distance. The heart of Bethel Heights Vine-
yard is Pinot Noir, but they also produce Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris.
Travel on to a VIP tour and tasting at Cristom Vineyards with
winemaker Steve Doerner. Steve believes a winemaker’s job is
to optimize what nature—the vineyard—provides. While advo-
cates of tradition, they continually experiment both in the vine-
yards and the cellar. You’ll sample some great wines and learn
about Cristom’s philosophy in this portion of your day.
On the last leg of your journey, you’ll savor some light appetizers and have
a tour and VIP tasting at Methven Family Vineyards, famous for boutique
wines including Pinot Gris, Riesling and Pinot Noir. Here you’ll experience
warm and friendly hospitality and taste wines from vines that are meticu-
lously tended, crafted in extremely small lots, and hand selected for quality.

ripeness. Then head for the tasting room to enjoy appetizers

of harvest. When we begin to take the fruit from the vines,
we’ll call you and you can join us at your convenience. Be
prepared to help harvest grapes, work on the sorter, and
