Direct research projects of the e-Health Research Unit including evaluation projects on
electronic medical records, telehealth, and enhanced information systems capacity in primary
health care renewal initiatives in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Develop
evaluation frameworks and research designs. Design and validate survey instruments and
qualitative interview guides. Conduct informant interviews and focus groups. Provide statistical
consultation and analysis on health services data in support or on-going research projects.
Provide SAS programming and SPSS analysis support for research projects of the e-Health
Research Unit. Conduct and publish scholarly research on e-health initiatives in Newfoundland
and Labrador and the Atlantic provinces of Canada.

methods and supporting statistical concepts of probability, descriptive and inferential
statistics, sampling, correlation and bivariate regression.
Research Designs and Methods in Education (ED 6100). A graduate introductory course in
research designs and methods.
Advanced Human Resource Communication (ED 6805). A graduate course on communications
methods, strategies, and research in human resource communication.
Leadership and Human Resource Development (ED 6804). A graduate course covering the
theoretical basis for leadership and human resource practice in post-secondary education.
General Methods of Teaching in Post-Secondary Education (ED 2730). An undergraduate
course on the methodology of teaching, selection of appropriate methods for individual and
group instruction, and principles of instructional management.
Adult Learning and Development (ED 6802). A graduate course on the learning process and
the characteristics of adult learners and considers how the theories and ideas discussed can
be applied to the field of post-secondary education.

ensure stakeholder buy-in, contingency planning, and meeting the needs of the target

Coordinator for Enrollment Planning and Policy Analysis 2001-2005

Coordinated university enrollment planning and policy development. Designed and managed
organizational frameworks to guide strategic planning processes. Collaborated with college deans
and the Enrollment Planning Committee on the integration of financial, space, and faculty
resources, as well as student demand in developing enrollment targets at the undergraduate and
graduate levels. Organized the development and submission of the university’s biennial
legislative budget request to the University system office. Conducted academic policy evaluations
and make recommendations for policy changes. Presented enrollment and policy plans to the
university executive officers, university board of trustees, and constituent colleges. Developed

Abuse Services Section of NC DHHS. Designed and programmed automated reporting process
