The Young Women's Ministry will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 5:45 p.m. in the church
fellowship hall. If there are young women who are interested in joining this ministry, please come join us. If you have
any questions, you may contact the church office at 852-1150.
The Youth Mission meeting will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. Parents please bring your children.
Ages are 5-16. Children please bring your Feed the Children donations.

This Singles church wide emphasis will be held on April 26-30, 2006. We are in need of volunteers to help make our
“Spiritual Weekend Retreat” a success. If you are interested in working on this event, please contact Sisters Cynthia
Hatchett, Iris J. Smith, or Brother Johnnie Cockrell. You may sign-up at the welcome desk.
ATTENTION ALL WOMEN OF UNION CHAPEL: We are preparing to culminate the Women's Emphasis Period
by lifting up the name of Jesus in song. We are asking all women to join our ALL Women's Mass Choir as we sing
praises to our God. Our first rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday, April 27, 7:00 PM in the Choir Room. The All
Women's Mass choir will provide the song service during both services on Sunday, May 14th. We encourage ALL
the Women of Union Chapel to participate.
The Wellness ministry will be providing information on the "Patient Assistance prescription programs" on
Sunday, April 30th between services (after the 7:45am service until the beginning of the 10:45am service), in the
foyer. For further information please contact Sister Brenda Stephens.
The John Stallworth Scholarship Foundation is accepting applications for its annual scholarships to be awarded for the
school year 2006—07, at Alabama A & M University. Students who will attend Alabama A & M University as a first-
time freshman in the fall are encouraged to apply. The deadline to submit applications is May 1, 2006. Applications
may be picked up in the church office.
The Regularettes are accepting applications for a scholarship recipient for 2006 graduating high school seniors. The
application forms are located in the church office. Any questions, please call Mrs. Olene McGowen or Sis. Jessie
Singles Ministry is planning a cruise for February 24, 2007. We will be sailing with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line
to San Juan, Phillipsburg-St. Maarten, Na, St. Thomas, VI and Nassau, BS. This will be a seven day cruise. If you are
interested in this cruise, please sign up at the welcome center or contact Orish Carter or Bertha Barnard. Deadline for
Deposit is May 15, 2006 at Super Wal-Mart on University Drive.
You are invited to become a part of the Union Chapel mentoring Ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to guide,
encourage, and help you to build a foundation for your spiritual growth based on God’s word. Applications may be
picked up at the Welcome Desk and returned to the church office (ATTN: Mentoring Ministry) or you may contact
Leasa Suggs or Anita Weathers for more information.
With the exception of members who possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), all Union Chapel member-
drivers of the newly purchased 2006 Ford Starcraft Shuttle Bus must undergo a special driver’s training session that
will be conducted by Brothers Orish Carter, Darnell Bradley, Curtis Pruitt, and Curtis Chapman of the Transportation
Ministry prior to operating the new shuttle bus. Contact Bro. Orish Carter.
Those members who are drivers of the Church buses & vans please turn in any keys you have to the church
office as soon as possible.

"The soil has been prepared and the Garden Ministry has started planting Union Chapel's first garden. Our young
people, will help by partnering with our Seniors to plant and reap a bountiful harvest. We are asking anyone
