Scientist/Sr. Scientist Position in Pharmaceutical Development
American Oriental Bioengineering Inc. is a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company
with headquarters in Beijing and R&D operations in the US. The company has about
4500 employees, and is publically traded on New York Stock Exchange (symbol AOB).
Currently it is looking for qualified candidates for a Scientist or Sr. Scientist position in
its New Jersey R&D group.
Responsibilities:
- Carries out lab experiments for feasibility study
- Maintains a formulation laboratory; orders chemicals and lab needs
- Searches and evaluates external technologies for drug formulations
- Interacts with external CROs and participates in projects
- Transfers technologies from CROs to internal sites in China
Qualifications:
- Requires a PharmD degree or MS/PhD degree in related fields
- 1-5 years of industrial experience in pharmaceutical formulation or process
development is needed
- Experience with formulating oral solid doses, technology transfer, and controlled
release technology is preferred
- Knowledge in both herbal based and chemical based pharmaceutical formulations
is desirable
- Working knowledge of US FDA and Chinese SFDA drug regulations and cGMP
- Fluent in both English and Chinese
