Former Head Coach of the Atlanta Falcons & Houston Oilers; CBS Sports Analyst

Jerry Glanville began his NFL career as a special teams coach and defensive assistant with

the Detroit Lions from 1974 to 1976. He joined the Atlanta Falcons in 1977 as a defensive

back coach and then server as defense coordinator (1979-82), and was responsible for the

Falcons' dogged defense, nicknamed the "Grits Blitz." Glanville joined the Buffalo Bills for

one season and then joined the Houston Oilers in 1984 as defensive coordinator, becoming

their head coach in 1986. Glanville turned the Houston Astrodome into "The House of Pain."

He remained head coach until 1989, leading his team to the playoffs for three consecutive

years. His success in Houston brought him back to Atlanta in 1990, this time as head coach.

After a disappointing first-year record of 5-11, Glanville turned the team around with a

career-high record of 11-5 in 1991.

“Against the Ropes”

Jackie Kallen is the world's most successful female boxing manager who fought against all

The First American Gymnast to Score a Perfect “10” in the Olympic Games

Mitch Gaylord first thrilled the world in 1984 as he led the United States Olympic gymnastics

team to its Gold Medal victory. In addition to being the first American in history to receive a

perfect "10," Gaylord went on to capture a Silver medal for Vaulting and two Bronze medals

for Rings and Parallel Bars. As the number one ranked gymnast in 1983 and 1984, Gaylord

invented two skills now named internationally after him--the Gaylord Flip and the Gaylord

Two. In 1986, Gaylord made his acting debut in Columbia Pictures' "American Anthem." In

1988, he hosted his own television series "Fan Club." In 1995, he was inducted into UCLA's

Over the course of his 27-year NFL career, Sam Wyche served as a quarterback and

A.C. Green has played in more consecutive games than anyone in the history of the NBA:

1,192 games. Over the course of his 16-year career that included three Championship

teams with the Los Angeles Lakers. A.C. established the A.C. Green Youth Foundation in

Legendary member of the four-time World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers football team,

Jim Morris' Cinderella story is testimony to the power of dreams and their ability to inspire

major league player was derailed by serious arm injuries. At the age of 35 and some 11

years after retiring from minor league baseball, Morris was giving a speech to his high

school team when his players challenged him to pursue his dream of pitching in the major

leagues if they won their division title. Morris’ team fulfilled their part of the bargain, which

committed him to a big league tryout, where he miraculously threw 12 consecutive pitches

Legendary baseball manager Sparky Anderson is the third winningest manager in baseball

From 1979 to 1995, he was at the helm of the Detroit Tigers. Under his leadership, the

Tigers won their first World Series in 1984 and took the American League East Division title

in 1987. Anderson is the only manager in history to win a World Series in both the

American League and the National League and the first to win 100 games in a season in

both leagues. Anderson is an ambassador for baseball and a much sought-after speaker. A
