• Crude Birth Rate (CBR) the average
annual number of births during a year per
1,000 persons in the population

• General Fertility Rate. This in an
indicator of the number of likely births. It is
an index of the number of live births in a
year divided by the number of women
aged between 15 and 49.

• Total Fertility Rate (TFR) This gives a
figure for the average number of children
that would be born per woman if all
women lived to the end of their
childbearing years and bore children
according to a given fertility rate at each
age.
