Born in Long Beach, California, Canty attended Eastern
High School in Voorhees, New Jersey. He was a two-time
All-American at Kansas State University and won the Jack
Tatum Award his junior season.[1]
NFL
Canty was drafted 29th overall in the first round of the
1997 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Over four
NFL seasons, he played for the Patriots as well as the
New Orleans Saints and the Seattle Seahawks. In 58 ca-
reer games for those three teams, he had four intercep-
tions and 126 tackles.

He went on to play for the Las Vegas Gladiators and cur-
rently plays for the Rio Grande Valley Dorados of af2.
