WILEY COMING TO BOOKSHOP BY THE LAKES
Literary Notes
Jean Wiley will be a guest author at Bookshop
By the Lakes in West End on Saturday, Nov.
15th at 1:00 p.m.
Wiley has studied dreams most of her life.
Last year the culmination of that lifelong
passion resulted in her first book, “The Inner
World, Exploring Your Dreams.”
Wiley describes her book as a “how to”
manual, intended to be used on a daily basis
to help people remember dreams and eventually
to learn how to interpret dreams.
The book contains over 50 genuine dream
examples with interpretations. “The dream
examples provide a consistent pattern in relation
to how the subconscious mind speaks to us,”
says Wiley. “This is not brain surgery and
everyone can learn to master the language
of their dreams.”
She stresses that this is a highly interactive
exchange and encourages people to bring their
dreams with them.
“Every discussion is different,” she says.
“I start out with the basics and let the participants
determine what topics and symbols will be
discussed. It is a great deal of fun and I believe
everyone leaves having learned something about
him or herself. The mental light bulbs start
popping and it’s very rewarding to see the
dawning of understanding light up a person’s
face.”
Wiley has appeared on WRAL Television
Morning News in Raleigh, The Southern
Palette with artist Allen Montague on Fox 50,
WDNC 620 AM radio on Triangle Today in
Durham and a number of radio stations across
The state.
