Garden Ponds Maths Homework
All students in Year 7 have been given their second
investigational homework. Whilst pleased with the standard
of work produced by many students on the first investigation ‘Counter
Moves’ we realise the task proved very challenging for some. All classes
will have spent some time discussing the projects and looking at how their
investigation could be improved, with a view to producing work of a higher
standard with the next one. The advice we give is that were the work to be
marked by someone who did not know the investigation they would be able
understand the project and understand the methods used – hence our
insistence that a clear introduction is given and explanations made.
We would like to encourage parents to help and support the students with
this work, either with the content and understanding or with presentation;
however, it would be helpful to us to know the extent of your input so please
fill in the slip and return with the completed investigation.
