include certain factors related to the situation or phenomenon under investigation and comparing
one factor with factor other. (Sumadi Suryobroto, 1970:143).
C. Source of Data
In this study as a source of data in the form of words, actions and additional data in the form of

Observation can be interpreted as a direct and systematic observation of the phenomenon - the
phenomenon under investigation.
c. Engineering documentation
Documentation is any written material that is not written anything prepared by a person or an
institution for the purposes of testing an event.
E. Sampling Techniques
This study used a sample intended or porposife sampling by selecting and determining the person
deemed to know and master the subject. Selected informants deemed to know the issues, and
options can be developed in accordance with kebutuhandan stability in collecting research data
(Sutopo, 1988:1989).
The sample in this study is the palace courtiers or guides
F. Validity of Data
a. Triangulation
Triangulation is done by comparing the data between a single informant with other informants and
comparing different data sources on the same issue. Sutopo explained (1988:26), in this study to
compare the opinions of people Kasunanan Surakarta palace with experts who understand the
culture of the East Blonyo and with other sources such as from books that support the research.
b. Review Informants
Informants review: research reports reviewed by informants (especially the "key informants) to
determine if the written is something that approved them. In this case sometimes require discussion
in order to sense from both sides can be achieved (Sutopo.1988: 26). In this case again asking
people's opinions in Kasunanan Kraton Surakarta, who noted whether it is appropriate or not.

G. Data Analysis
According to Lexy J. Moleong (1999:103) "data analysis is the process of organizing and sorting data
into categories and the basic outline of the unit so it can be found themes and working hypotheses
can be formulated as suggested by the data".
In data analysis there are three important components, namely:
a. Data reduction
Reduction is a process, simplification, focusing, selection and data abstraction from the fact that
there lapangan.karena data field is not necessarily the data that we need then is where the need for
field data reduction.
b. Presentation of data
Presentation of data or data display is an assembly of information organization which allows
conclusions can be made.
c. Inferences / ferifikasi
Since the beginning of the study tried to find the meaning of the data that has been dikumpulakan,
look for the theme of relationships, equations, hypotheses and so on. The more complete data is
collected then the conclusion will be more solid and fundamental.
Analysis of the flow model can be described as follows:
The data collection period

Report Preparation Phase

Description of the chart above that is:
a. Phase Pre-Field
• Develop a research proposal
• Choosing a research field that is Kasunanan Surakarta palace.
• Taking care licensing from the University Eleven FKIP March.
• Exploring the field situation, knowing likungan and all the elements that exist in Kasunanan Kraton
Surakarta.
• Selecting the informant is choosing someone who has information about the state of the PR
Kasunanan Palace of Kraton Surakarta Kasunanan interviewed.
• Setting up of research equipment.

2. Presentation of data or data display is an assembly of information organization which allows
conclusions to be done, in order to see the picture of the whole or certain parts of the research
should be conducted datayang serving tables, graphs, schemes and so on.
3. Inferences / ferifikasi, since the beginning of the study tried to find the meaning of the data that
has been dikumpulakan, look for the theme of relationships, equations, hypotheses and so on.
d. Stages of preparation of the report
This stage is where the data is collected and assessed what is good for analysis, the data is
guaranteed validity. Then do the preparation of reports in accordance with the problem. In
preparing this report the researchers attempted to answer the formulation of the problem
presented based on data from all of the results of a series of observational studies, interviews and
documents.
