Purpose: To critique web browsers for content and usability; to write persuasively about chosen
web browser
BCS~AWD~1: Students will explore web design concepts, the current state of the web, and technologies
used on the web.
Instructions: Brainstorm a list of web browsers.
Pick a browser to defend as the best web browser—must be unique to anyone else in the class!
You will critique the web browsers by creating a newsletter
Design a newsletter that showcases your research and reveals your choice for top web browser.
You should reveal facts, research, and resources! The newsletter should be 1 full page with good
design elements in mind during the design—color, font, graphics, charts, tables, alignment, drop
cap. Be sure to include the author and date. All ideas/images/research should be documented in
newsletter. Newsletter will be printed in color. Creativity on the design and writing should be kept
in mind. Proper grammar and spelling at a high school reading level should be used when writing
this newsletter! I do not want to see copy/pasted information!
Save to your Web Browsers folder as Read All About It.
Proofread newsletter.
Refer to rubric for grading scale. Print in color your completed, proofread newsletter.
Complete the student version of the rubric and turn in with your Newsletter to the box.
