The Kids Need Your Help!
kids'
chance
Get your family, friends and co-workers involved!
The Georgia Safety, Health and Environmental Conference is committed to assisting Georgia's employers and
employees in providing safe, healthy work environments. Unfortunately, incidents sometime occur which
forever change the lives of workers and their families. An effective Safety, Health and Environmental program
focuses on preventing incidents, but also provides post incident measures, such as implementing corrective
actions. These steps usually make the workplace safer, but the seriously injured employee and his/her family
may struggle forever.
“Our kids” are at the heart of all we do. Since Kids' Chance of Georgia began in 1988, we have awarded hun-
dreds of scholarships to children of Georgia's seriously injured workers.
Of the students who received direct financial aid for educational expenses in the 2009 calendar year, all
attended universities and colleges, worked toward diplomas from technical colleges or were able to return to
and finish high school.
The 18th annual Georgia Safety, Health and Environmental Conference, to be held at the Marriott Savannah
Riverfront hotel on September 7-9, 2011, will again feature our very popular, successful and beneficial
Silent Auction
with 100% of the proceeds going to Kids' Chance of Georgia. But, we cannot do this without your involve-
ment. We need donated items, purchased or produced by you, with or without your logo. Tools, household
goods, art work, collectables, electronics, sporting goods, gardening supplies, luggage, vacation
getaways…anything someone would like to purchase…will be greatly appreciated. Donate it today! Kids'
Chance of Georgia will provide you with the necessary tax-deductible information and paperwork.
(501(c)(3) #: 58-1827365
Please help us help the kids! Last year, the auction added a fun dimension to the conference and netted
in excess of $14,000 for deserving students.
