case scenario (enrollment, alerts, and transactions). In addition to these Enterprise Software Development
Methodology deliverables I also provided various Architecture Vision and Roadmap diagrams and documentation to
assure the solution will fit into future initiatives as well as a scalable Alert Engine for future technology and customer
communication methods such as Instant Messaging, Social Networking, and cross-product services.
Remote Deposit Capture
The Remote Deposit Capture project has the business objective of providing insurance agents of Nationwide Insurance the ability to deposit checks
directly through Nationwide Bank to avoid the use of a middle 3rd party bank and associated fees. This project is launched as of Q1 2011. I have provided
direction and advisement in terms of vendor selection and technology specification.
I have been involved in contract negotiation for statement of work, master service agreement, and service level agreements in
compliance with Nationwide Bank and Enterprise RUN (Support) as well as Disaster Recovery standards. In addition to
involvement in vendor selection and negotiations, I have provided deliverables such as the Solution Approach which encompasses
adapting the business case to a viable, lean, and scalable conceptual solution through the use of various Architecture Decisions,
System Context Diagram, and Conceptual Model. The currently selected Remote Deposit Capture solution uses ASP.NET as both
a UI and framework for Agent use. I have also delivered associated Solution Architecture deliverables which include Architecture
Subsystem Diagrams, Component Models, Physical Operational Models, and Architectural Decisions.
Prescreen of One
The Prescreen of One project has the business objective of pre-screening customers with a small amount of data such as name and date of birth to screen
them via several services such as Identity Authentication, Credit Bureau Check, and Citizenship Confirmation. The screening is matched against current
requirements of the bank without the person being aware of the screening and a potential credit offer is available in real-time. This service is accessible via
an ASP.NET / JAVA UI and easily integrated as an API into several different applications used by various CSRs and Agents. The CSR or Agent has the
option to cross sell bank products and provide instant credit to allow down-payments or payments.
The Prescreen of One project is the #1 priority of the bank according to the Bank President in terms of overall program portfolio. This project is currently in
the Design phase as of November 2010 and is a combination of several different services. My responsibilities as Lead Project and Solution Architect
encompass areas including conceptual architecture, conceptual solutions, and contract negotiation/selection. I have currently been involved in all
negotiations with various vendors and development teams regarding statement of works, master service agreements, and service level agreements.
I have delivered various System Context diagrams, Solution Approach documentation, Conceptual Models, Optional
Architecture Comparisons, and several optional Vision and Roadmap documents and diagrams to leadership and team.
Customer Card Imaging
The Customer Card Imaging project has the business objective of allowing bank customers the option to add customized imagery to their physical product
credit cards. This project involves the use of ASP.NET to provide a customer friendly and compliant user interface. This solution uses SQL and C# to
transform and map data to various product required formats. The end printing state of this project uses AS400 and mainframe machine-interface
technology to print the VISA approved cards.
This project uses various vendor services to provide, host, sync, review, and ultimately fulfill the printing. As Lead Project Architect, I have been involved in
conceptual/logical solutions and consulting in all aspects of this process. I have also been involved in User Experience testing in the User Experience lab
that consists of an interview room, various biometric readers, video monitoring equipment, and eye-movement detection software to provide the highest
and most enjoyable user experience across various random test-subject segments.
Jesse Myer Enterprise Architect phone: 614-309-4272 email: jessemyer@gmail.com www.jessemyer.com
I have, in addition to the above responsibilities, been involved in vendor selection, statement of work review, master
service agreement review, and support documentation review in conjunction with the RUN (Support) team leaders.
Deliverables for this project have included System Context Diagram, Solution Approach documentation, various
Conceptual Models, Vision and Roadmap documentation/diagrams, Physical and Logical Operational diagrams, and
various Overall Solution models. This project is currently in the User Acceptance Testing stage and will be in
production by end of Q4 2010.
SAS Bank Modeling and Analytics
The SAS Bank Modeling and Analytics project encompasses several smaller initiatives in concurrent fashion. The first is the sizing, testing, and
deployment of several high power desktop computers that are accessible via remote desktop and SAS to perform 24+ SAS data-set analyses in a single
instance. The need for this is due to the banks requirement of proper risk segmentation in preparation for an Enterprise Cloud SAS environment in the
coming future. The second initiative is the development of a Bank data sandbox with access to several production data warehouses.
The combination of these internal initiatives derives the basis of the SAS Bank Modeling and Analytics solution in the interim of
a cloud solution. My responsibilities for this project as Lead Solution and Project Architect requires working with various groups
within the enterprise through various meetings, summits, and requests to deliver the solution. In addition to working with
various groups I have provided several Conceptual Models, System Context Diagrams, Solution Approach documents,
Optional Architecture Overviews, and Vision and Roadmap documentation and diagrams. This project is current in testing and
has been delivered successfully.
Identity Authentication
The Identity Authentication project is the inclusion of a scalable Identity Authentication system in various Bank and Enterprise applications. This solution
accesses various agencies and data warehouses to allow the authentication of a customer, and if authentication fails, a variety of questions unique to the
individual is presented to the customer to establish identity or fraud. My responsibilities in this project, due to my introduction into the Testing Phase,
required my input as a Subject Matter Expert in various system and user testing prior to implementation.
Historical Data Analytics
The Historical Data Analytics project requires the consolidation of various customer data from various service vendors into our own data warehouses. My
involvement and responsibilities in this project as Lead Project and Solution Architect included deliverables such as the Solution Approach, System
Context Diagram, Conceptual Model, Physical Operational Model, Sequence Logical Walkthrough Operational Diagram, and Relational Database Models
(ERDs).
In addition of various deliverables, my responsibilities include the formal requests of services from various internal enterprise departments responsible for
the PCI Cage, IT Security, and Secured File Transfer across both a direct-dedicated line and SFTP. The end result of this project is the mapping and
importation of all historical data into the Bank Data Mart. This project is currently in testing and will be complete by year-end 2010.
Tealeaf Implementation
This project is currently in the planning and initiate phase. The Tealeaf Implementation project is the
addition of the Tealeaf product into our web-client services and will record all customer input, cursor
movement, and engagement in our customer facing services for archiving of 7+ years. This data will
be used to increase the customer experience and provide legal record. My involvement in this project
as Lead Project Architect has been the planning and conceptual documentation of the proposed
solution from the internal Tealeaf team. This project is scheduled to begin development within 2011.
Customer Experience Optimization
This project is separate into five phases that cover a myriad of improvements over the current online customer banking experience. The concepts of
improvement include content updates, usability design studies, and the primary addition of a new customer-centric self service mortgaging application. My
involvement as Lead Project Architect includes the planning, conceptualization, and subject-matter expert in all phases. My deliverables range from
Conceptual Architecture Models to Sub-Component level diagrams. My responsibilities include the integrity of the system in regards to current enterprise
architecture and confirmation of security standards and disaster recovery profiles. This project is slated to be completed in multiple phases, with the last
being completed in Q4 2011.
