MRN SEEKS FAMILIES WITH INFANTS FOR DEVELOPMENTAL

RESEARCH

(ALBUQUERQUE)—The Mind Research Network (MRN) continues groundbreaking research

on the development of the infant brain, and MRN seeks families with infants for the project

CEREBRO (Comprehensive Evaluation of Relationships in Early Brain Response Overtime).

MRN Researchers are recruiting healthy, full-term babies born around April 1, 2009 for

evaluation to begin July 1 at the Albuquerque neurodiagnostic facility.

A developmental evaluation and brain scan are part of each visit with your child, and there is

financial compensation. For more information, contact the study coordinatorr at MRN, (505)

515-4141 or cerebro@mrn.org.

MRN scientists are comparing the brains of premature infants and those of babies born to full

term. Research already indicates there is a difference, and what MRN scientists are learning will

help with early diagnosis and treatment of potential developmental problems for the children.

The Mind Research Network is a non-profit center dedicated to discovering how the human

brain works and what causes dysfunction. MRN’s mission is to find earlier and better ways to

diagnose and treat mental illness, autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, addiction, alcoholism, post

traumatic brain injury and other brain disorders.

For more information on MRN, visit www.mrn.org or contact Lisa Breeden, Development

Director, lbreeden@mrn.,org or (505) 681-7110.
