Manager of Treasury Services –City of Raleigh, pop. 405,000.
Salary range: $63,151 - $108,372
Minimum Requirements: 6 years of experience in a managerial role handling treasury
or similar duties; and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or
Economics, or equivalent; preferably supplemented by a Master’s degree in Business
Administration, Public Administration or a CPA certification. Thorough knowledge and
experience in the principles and practices of debt management, investments and cash
management and financial modeling. Banking and/or local government experience a
plus. Experience in managing treasury applications within an ERP or similar electronic
environment is desired. Ability to plan and coordinate work routines of employees and to
establish effective working relationships. Ability to communicate well orally and in
writing. A “CFA”, “CTP” and/or “CCM” designation is preferred.
Position Duties: Directs and manages the activities of the Finance Department’s
Treasury Office, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Oversees and participates in
the management of all debt, banking and investment activities. Performs and coordinates
financial and economic analyses including the development of models to forecast
revenues and to evaluate debt capacity and financing options. Oversees and participates
in analytical efforts in support of various revenue and expenditure budget efforts
performed by the Finance Department.
