The rebirth of the minimoog
Moog Music introduces the new minimoog Voyager series! Asheville, NC – In January at
the Winter 2002 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, the minimoog Voyager was the talk of the
show.
The new minimoog Voyager series These units are similar to the original minimoog with
the beautiful wood cabinetry (which can still be set at various angles) and the knobs and
switches. These are arranged in very easy to use groups very much like modular units. The
new synths still have the pitchbend and modulation wheels as well as the “three oscillators”
that set the standards years ago.. In addition, the keys of the Fatar keyboard are both
velocity and pressure sensitive, and are compatible with external MIDI instruments and
includes an internal memory system. There is an “interactive” touchpad that is three-
dimensional which allows you to assign certain areas of the pad for specific aspects of the
synth’s sounds. This is done by using your finger to move along the pad and it will track your
movements both horizontally and vertically as well at the depth of your touch.
“Nothing else has proven as intuitive, immediately gratifying, musically inspiring, and
sonically inviting as my minimoog” – Mark Vail
The minimoog Voyager is being produced in two models, the “Limited Edition Signature
Series” and the Performer Series. There will only be 600 of the Signature series that are
personally signed by the award winning Dr. Bob Moog. The Performer is a very similar
product with a few modifications and does not include a signature.

Moog Music is BACK!
The name Moog Music is finally back! Asheville, NC – On March 1, 2002, Big Briar, Inc
officially became Moog Music. Due to some legal issues, Dr. Bob Moog has not been able to
use his name for the company until just recently.
The name change is very timely with the release of the new minimoog Voyager. The rebirth
of the minimoog was the absolute hit of the Winter 2002 NAMM show in Anaheim in
January. This unit is similar to the original minimoog with a number of added features and
functions.
