I FOUND THE TROUSERS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE TO WEAR IN THE HOT WEATHER, THE TROUSERS FELT
VERY HOT AND GOT WET WITH SWEAT.
ALSO WHEN PUTTING ON CLEAN TROUSERS AFTER ONE DAY'S WEAR, THEY LOOKED VERY CHEAP LOOKING
AND TATTY.

I PERSONALLY DID NOT GET MUCH COMFORT WITH WEARING THE TROUSERS AS THEY DID NOT FIT
PROPERLY. I FELT THEY WERE VERY HOT AND SWEATY IN THE HOT WEATHER AND SO BECAME QUITE
UNCOMFORTABLE

TROUSERS WERE TIGHT ACROSS THE HIPS. TROUSER POCKETS TOO SMALL. UNABLE TO GET HANDS IN HIP
POCKETS. WAIST SIZE OK

REMOVABLE KNEE-PADS ARE NOT PRACTICAL
FRONT POCKETS (NOT THIGH POCKETS) TOO SMALL
ARTICULATED KNEE AREA CANNOT BE IRONED
POLYCOTTON IS NOT ONLY HOT BUT GOES 'SHINY' EVEN AT MEDIUM IRON TEMPS.
EVEN THOUGHT I'D LOST A STONE IN WEIGHT PRIOR TO THE TRIAL THE TROUSERS CAME UP QUITE SMALL- I
HAD TO ORDER THE NEXT SIZE UP DURING THE TRIAL
LIKED THE COMBAT STYLE THOUGH
WHAT ABOUT COTTON TROUSERS? JUST WORN THEM THROUGH A WEEK OF HOT WEATHER - THEY WERE
VERY WARM TO WEAR. Cotton would be better! SAME COLOUR THOUGH.

ZIP TOO SHORT

MATERIAL FAR TOO HOT IN WARM WEATHER - STICKS TO BODY
LEG WIDTH TOO WIDE AT THIGHS

TROUSERS OVERALL VERY GOOD. A LIGHTER WEIGHT FABRIC FOR SUMMER IS NEEDED.

FABRIC IS VERY WARM ON SUNNY DAYS - LIGHTER FABRIC NEEDED FOR SUMMER.
FOUND THE LEGS TOO TIGHT ON THE THIGHS.
FEEL IT WOULD BE BETTER TO HAVE NORMAL BELT & UTILITY BELT SEPARATE - MAYBE VELCRO STRAPS
FOR ADDITIONAL UTILITY BELT.

I FOUND THE TROUSERS TO BE VERY GOOD. PREHAPS I WAS LUCKY TO HAVE ONES THAT WERE SUCH A
GOOD FIT.
I THINK THE REMOVABLKE KNEE PAD IS A BIT TOO MUCH. THE ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE WERE THE POPER
STUDS ON THE BACK.

SEWN IN CREASE MIGHT GIVE A SMARTER LOOK. THE SMALL BELT LOOPS FOR THE LEATHER BELT WERE
TOO LOW. THE STUDS ARE NOT VERY DURABLE THEY SOON LOOSEN OFF.
NEED TO BE STRONGER BUT NOT MORE DIFFICULT TOO CLOSE

I FOUND THE TROUSERS TO BE EXTREMELY PRACTICAL AND COMFORTABLE. HOWEVER I WOULD PREFER
THE NORMAL BELT TO BE FITTED AT THE TOP OF THE WAISTBAND - OTHERWISE THE WAISTBAND TENDS TO
FOLD OVER WHEN THE UTILITY BELT IS NOT USED. IT DOESN'T LOOK RIGHT HAVING BELT BELOW TOP OF
WAISTBAND

MATERIAL VERY HEAVY, TOO WARM ON HOT DAYS- MAKES YOU FEEL VERY SWEATY, NON BREATHING
MATERIAL.
VERY ILL FITTING MADE BENDING DOWN VERY DIFFICULT.
EXCESSIVE MATERIAL AROUND THE WAIST WAS UNCOMFORTABLE.
THE BELT LOOPS ARE TOO BIG IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO WEAR YOUR ULITILY BELT, IT WOULD BE BETTER TO
HAVE A LIGHT AND HEAVY WEIGHT TROUSER.

SMALL BELT LOOPS NEED TO BE AT THE TOP. FELT HOT AND SWEATY IN WARM WEATHER. BUT NO WARMTH
WHEN COLD.

TROUSERS ARE FAR TOO HOT DUE TO USE OF HIGH POLYESTER CONTENT. I PERSONALLY DON’T USE THE
REAR POCKETS AND WOULD BE HAPPY TO LOSE THEM. FLAT LEG POCKETS ARE EXCELLENT AND SHOULD
BE SEALED WITH VELCRO, LIKE THE OLD BOILER SUITS WERE, THE POOPERS ARE DIFFICULT TO BE SECURE
WHEN CROUCHING.
BELT LOOPS NEED TO BE SLIGHTLY LARGER TO ALLOW UTILITY BELT TO BE EASILY THREADED THROUGH

30 July 2003 Page 1 of 5

FEEL THAT THE TROUSERS COULD BE IMPROVED IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:
1. SHIRT GRIPPER IS WAISTBAND
2. DARTS IN FRONT
3. SMALL BELT LOOPS TO BE AT THE TOP
4. STRAIGHT FLAPS ON THE POCKETS

THE FABRIC WAS TOO HEAVY TO WEAR IN THE WARM WEATHER. THE TROUSERS WITH SEWN IN KNEE PADS
MORE SO

MATERIAL IS VERY WARM AND CREASES EASILY. THERE ARE NO PEN OLDER POCKETS ON TROUSER TYPE 2.
ON TYPE 1 IT IS OBSCURED BY PRESS STUD AND ON TYPE 3 IT MAKES THE POCKET TOO SMALL.
THE SECOND SMALLER BELT LOOPS NEED TO BE REMOVED AS THEY MAKE THREADING THE UTILITY BELT
DIFFICULT. THE TYPE 2 KNEE PADS ALSO APPEAR VERY WORN AFTER A FEW WASHES. THE TYPE 2
TROUSERS WITH TYPE 1 POCKETS WITH NO PEN HOLDERS AND BUTTONS INSTEAD OF STUDS WOULD BE
THE BEST OPTION FOR THE TROUSERS TRIALLED

A SEWN IN CREASE COULD IMPROVE THE IMAGE.
THE QUALITY OF STITICHING MUST BE IMPROVED

IF I USED THE SIDE CARGO POCKETS FOR SAY - SISSORS OR STEHESCOPE - I FOUND THEM DIIFICULT TO
RMOVE BECAUSE OF AN INNER FLAP OF UNSTITCHED MATERIAL ON THE INSIDE TOP OF THE POCKET. VERY
USEFUL POCKETS THOUGH

POCKET (BELLOW) TOO NARROW AT TOP

REMOVABLE KNEE PADS ARE NOT PRACTICLE

VERY COMFORTABLE SIZE, KNEE TO HIGH AND MATERIAL IS TOO HEAVY.
I WAS FAR TOO HOT AND SWEATY EVEN ON COOL DAYS
NARROW BELT LOOPS ARE MORE CONVIEVENT AND NEED TOO BE FIXED ON THE WAIST BAND OF THE
TROUSERS THEY ARE TOO LOW AND LOOK SILLY

SEWN IN PADS ARE A MUST
TROUSERS DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM AROUND THE CROTCH AND THIGHS -ESPECIALLY WHEN SITTING
DOWN.
BELLOW POCKETS LOOK UNTIDY
EXCELLENT IDEA TO HAVE BIG BELT LOOPS SO CAN WEAR THE UTILITY BELT

WITH THE KNEE PADS THE RIDER UP AND THE KNEE IS IN THE WRONG POSITION
THE PAD SHOULD SIT LOWER WHEN STANDING

TROUSERS NOT SUITABLE FOR MY OFFICE BASED DUTIES

TROUSER MATERIAL TOO HOT
BELT LOOPS TOO BIG FOR ORDINARY BELT
BUTTON FASTENING INSECURE

TROUSERS WERE TOO HEAVY AND TOO HOT

LENGTH OF WAIST TO CRUTCH TOO LONG.
TYPE ONE IS MY PREFERENCE.
NICE MATERIAL

HAVE BEEN TOLD SEW IN KNEE PADS TAKE A WEEK TO DRY AFTER WASHING

TOO HOT
WHEN IRONING OVER POPPERS MARKS WERE LEFT

WOULD PREFER OLD STYLE BELT TO HAVE LOOPS AT TOP OF WAIST BAND

SOME OF THE STICHING HAS COME AWAY FROM THE KNEE CAP

TROUSERS ARE LOVELY TO WEAR BUT TOO BIG

TROUSERS SHOULD BE WIDER AT THE BOTTOM SO THEY FIT OVER BOOTS BETTER.
ALSO NEED LIGHTER MATERIAL FOR SUMMER WEAR AS THEY ARE TOO HOT

I WOULD PREFER VELCRO FASTENERS ON SIDES OF TROUSERS (AS PER BOILER SUIT) BECAUSE MY
TROUSERS ARE TOO BIG ON THE WAIST AND THE ELASTIC HANGS BELOW THE BELT AND LOOKS MESSY

30 July 2003 Page 2 of 5

GENERALLY ALL THREE TYPES ARE A GOOD FIT.
SMALL BELT LOOP NEEDS TO BE RE POSITIONED TO BE IN LINE WITH TOP OF LARGE BELT LOOP AFTER
WASHING MATERIAL MAY DEVELOP CREASE MARKS THAT WILL LOOSE COLOUR.
MATERIAL CHANGE REQUIRED

FRONT POCKETS NEED TO BE BIGGER
ARTICULATED KNEE, UPPER SEAM ON KNEE, VERY ROUGH
REMOVABLE KNEE PAD TROUSERS ARE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.
WOULD LIKE A LIGHT WEIGHT VERSION OF TROUSERS FOR SUMMER

FIRST SET OF TROUSERS SHRUNK AT THE WAIST.
VERY PROFESSIONAL

WAIST SEEMED VERY HIGH
BENT LOOPS COULD BE REVERSED
A BIT BAGGY AT REAR
A BIT TOO LONG AS ISSUSED

WAIST BAND BUTTON FELL OFF 3 PAIRS OF TROUSERS DESPITE THEM BEING A GOOD FIT

SMALL BELT LOOPS NEED TO BE AT TOP OF WAIST BAND

DIDN’T WEAR LONG SLEEVE SHIRTS AS I DISLIKE THAT TYPE OF SHIRT
TROUSERS NEED TO BE REINFORCED OVER KNEE AREA

ALTHOUGH REASONABLY COMFORTABLE MY TROUSERS WERE TOO SMALL.
SMALLER BELT HOOPS NEED TO BE HIGHER

REMOVABLE KNEE PADS LOOK TOO BIG

FANTASTIC TO WEAR
VERY COMFORTABLE

LENGTH OF TROUSER TOO LONG
BELT HOLDER TOO BIG
NO SHIRT GRIPPER
DO NOT LIKE EXPANDABLE POCKETS

TROUSERS TIGHT AROUND THIGHS
MATERIAL TOO HOT IN THE SUN - TOO MUCH POLYESTER

VELCRO FASTENER ON POCKET WOULD BE PREFERRED
PLEATS ON FRONT FO TROUSER MAY MAKE THEM MORE COMFORTABLE

PLEATS IN FRONT OF TROUSERS WANTED
BELT LOOPS INAPPOROPRIATE

TROUSERS ARE UNPROFESSIONAL
HARDER TO IRON THAN CURRENT TROUSERS

UNCOMFORTABLE IN HOT WEATHER
WATERPROOF COATING WANTED TO TROUSERS

NEEDS ELASTIC INSIDE TROUSER WAISTBAND TO STOP SHIRT COMING UP AND OUT

DEPTH FROM WAIST TO CRUTCH WAS TOO DEEP.
TROUSERS A BIT TIGHT AROUND CRUTCH AND SIDE POCKETS

I AM UNABLE TO COMMENT ON THE STYLE OF TROUSERS I PREFER AS I WASN'T ISSUED ANY. THIS ALSO
GOES FOR THE HI-VIS TROUSERS AS WELL. WHAT I DID NOTICE THOUGH, IS THAT ANY WOMEN THAT HAD
LARGE HIPS, THE TROUSERS SEEMED TO BE PULLING ROUND THE HIP AREA.

BELT NOT SUITABLE FOR LOOPS - TOO FIDDLEY TO PUT THROUGH LOOPS.

30 July 2003 Page 3 of 5

DISLIKE ANY KNEE PADS. FABRIC HAS TOO MUCH POLYESTER (55%) CAUSED SWEATINESS AROUND WAIST
AND CROTCH AREA. HAD STATIC SHOCK ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. ELASTIC WAIST PULLS WAIST
BAND DOWN EVERYTIME I SAT DOWN - DOES NOT LOOK SMART. LARGE BELT LOOPS TOO THIN, THEY WILL
BREAK WITH LOTS OF USE. SMALL LOOPS IN THE WRONG PLACE. WOMEN HAVE NO NEED FOR BACK
POCKETS, THE SHAPE OF THEM ARE UNFLATTERING. STITCHING HAS COME UNDONE ON POCKETS. I HAVE
NOT EVEN USED. THE SIDE POCKETS SHOULD HAVE A CENTRE PLEAT AND POCKETS SEWN FLAT THEY
WOULD LOOK SMARTER. VELCRO COULD BE USE TO SEAL SIDE POCKETS. THE CONCEPT OF "COMBAT
TROUSERS" I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH, IT’S THE FABRIC, THE MILITARY DON'T SEEM TO HAVE A PROBLEM -
ARE WE TRYING TO RE-INVENT THE WHEEL, WHY NOT USE THE SAME STYLE AND FABRIC BUT JUST DYE THE
FABRIC LAS GREEN

LENGTH ON TROUSERS VERY LONG. MATERIAL TOO THICK, VERY HOT, VERY SWEATY. NEED FOR WINTER
AND SUMMER TROUSER. BELT LOOPS TOO BIG FOR NORMAL BELT,TIGHT FITTING AROUND THIGHS. ELASTIC
ON BACK UNCOMFORTABLE. TYPE 2 KNEE PADS IN WRONG PLACE - TOO LOW. ELASTIC BIT ON BACK OF
TROUSERS MAKES SHIRT COME UNTUCKED VERY EASILY.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE KNEE PAD AREA SLIGHTLY THICKER AND MADE OF A WATERPROOF MATERIAL
WHICH COULD BE WIPED CLEAN. BELT LOOPS FOR SMALL WIDTH BELT TOO LOW. NO NEED FOR LARGE
BELT LOOPS AS UTILITY BELT CAN BE CLIPPED OVER SMALL UNIFORM BELT. THE TROUSERS NEED TO HAVE
A HIGH COTTON CONTENT. THE TROUSERS USED IN THE TRIAL WERE MOSTLY POLYESTER WHICH IS VERY
SWEATY IN THE SUMMER AND COLD IN THE WINTER. COTTON TROUSERS WOULD BE MORE COMFORTABLE.

I WOULD PREFER THAT THE POCKET FLAPS WERE STRAIGHT AND NOT SLANTED. I HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT
THE SEWN IN KNEE PAD ON HEALTH GROUNDS AS TO WHETHER ANY BLOOD OR BODY FLUIDS COULD BE
TRAPPED WITHIN THE PAD, SHOULD THESE PADS BE FLUID RESISTANT? COULD THE WAIST BAND HAVE AN
INTERNAL GRIP FITTED TO STOP THE SHIRT COMING OUT, I.E. RUBBER BANDS OR ALIKE.

ALTHOUGH MY PREFERENCE IS FOR THE TYPE (1) THIS IS BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF MY WORK IS MORE
OFFICE BASED. IF I WAS WORKING ON AN AMBULANCE EVERY DAY MY PREFERENCE WOULD BE TYPE (2). I
FOUND THE REMOVABLE KNEE PADS TOO UNCOMFORTABLE TO WEAR AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS AND HAD
TO REMOVE THEM.

WAIST ON TROUSERS TOO BIG.

THE TROUSERS REQUIRE A SHIRT GRIP. THE LOOPS FOR THE LAS LOGO BELT ARE TOO LOW. THE
CURRENT MATERIAL IS TOO WARM FOR SUMMER WEAR.

TROUSERS MADE ME FEEL VERY CUMBERSOME, THE WEIGHT OF THE MATERIAL WAS TOO HEAVY. THINK IT
WOULD BE BETTER IF THE MATERIAL WAS SLIGHTLY LIGHTER.

COULD THE POCKETS NOT BE FASTENED WITH VELCRO LIKE THE BOILER SUITS? THE REAR POCKETS
SHOULD BE AS THEY ARE ON THE EXISTING UNIFORM AS THE POCKET FLAPS KEPT RIDING UP MAKING IT
UNTIDY. IN ADDITION THE ELASTIC AT THE REAR MEANT THE SHIRT KEPT COMING OUT.

THE TROUSERS LOOKED GOOD BUT WERE TOO WARM FOR THE SUMMER. THE WAISTBAND WAS FAR TOO
HIGH. THE POCKETS WERE A GOOD IDEA, ESPECIALLY THE ONE FOR THE PEN TORCH.

TROUSERS VERY HOT TO WEAR REGARDLESS OF TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE. VERY ITCHY MATERIAL. WHAT
IS THE POINT OF THE ELASTICATED WAIST - LOOKS SILLY AND IS UNCOMFORTABLE. POCKETS AND
IMPROVEMENT AND KNEE PADS ARE EXCELLENT - ALTHOUGH THE LEG NEEDS TO BE LONGER OR THE
BUTTONS OF THE TROUSERS END UP AT CALF HEIGHT WHEN YOU BEND YOUR KNEES.

TROUSERS NEED SHIRT GRIP ON INSIDE OF WAISTBAND. ALSO MORE BELT LOOPS. WOULD PREFER
LEATHER BELT AND NARROWER LOOPS. MATERIAL NOT SUITABLE, COLD IN WINTER HOT IN SUMMER.

LIGHTWEIGHT TROUSER FOR SUMMER USE AND A NORMAL BLACK LEATHER BELT.

THERE IS A HEAT BUILD UP IN HOT WEATHER. WAISTBAND BUTTON WAS POORLY FITTED. HAD TO BE SEWN
BACK ON.

THE LACK OF AN ELASTIC INSERT ON THE TROUSER WAISTBAND MEANS MY SHIRT IS ALWAYS COMING
OUT. THE MATERIAL IS BETTER THAN THE OLD TROUSERS.

STUDS ON TROUSERS SHOW THROUGH (SHINY). FLAT POCKETS ARE NOT PRACTICAL, THE BELLOW
POCKETS MUCH BETTER. OVERALL AND PERSONAL OPINION IS THAT THE DESIGN IS GOOD AND THE
LOOK/DESIGN IS GOOD. FLAT SIDE POCKETS MAKE TROUSERS TOO TIGHT.

TROUSERS ARE A BIT TOO NARROW AT THE BOTTOM (ANKLE END). I LIKE THE ELASTIC IN THE WAISTBAND.

WOMENS TROUSERS ALTHOUGH A GOOD FIT COULD BE SLIGHTLY BIGGER AROUND THE HIPS. WITHIN 2
WEEKS A BUTTON HAD FALLEN OFF ONE PAI ROF TROUSERS AND ANOTHER IS LOOSE. COULD NOT TRIAL
TROUSERS WITH REMOVABLE KNEE PADS BEACAUSE ALTHOUGH THEY WERE A SIZE 12, THEY WERE TOO
SHORT IN THE LEG.

MATERIAL TOO HEAVY - TOO HOT AND SWEATY. LIGHTER MATERIAL FOR SUMMER.

TROUSERS PROBABLY IDEAL FOR WINTER BUT FAR TOO HOT FOR SUMMER. LIGHT WEIGHT VERSION
SHOULD BE CONSIDERED.

OVERALL TROUSERS WERE VERY NICELY MADE A BIT HOT IN SUMMER BUT NICE FOR WINTER. PERHAPS WE
SHOULD HAVE 2 TYPES 1 WINTER AND 1 SUMMER PAIR.

SEWN IN KNEEW PADS WITH BELLOWED POCKETS AND A RUBBER BAND ON THE INSIDE OF THE WAISTBAND
TO HOLD IN THE SHIRT.

BELT LOOPS IN WRONG PLACE. COULDN'T GET UTILITY BELT TO FIT.

I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE SIZING OF THE TROUSERS, 12 BEING TOO TIGHT AND 14 TOO LARGE BUT
IOTHER WISE I LIKE THEM AND FOUND THEM COMFORTABLE.

I FOUND THE MATERIAL TO BE POOR. TOO MUCH POLYESTER, TOO SHINY, THE ELASTIC WAIST WAS VERY
UNCOMFORTABLE AND CAUSED MY SHIRT TO CONSTANTLY RIDE UP. TOO WARM TO WEAR IN HOT WEATHER
COMPARED TO POLY/COTTON TROUSERS ON OLD UNIFORM. TIGHT FITTING ACROSS FRONT.

TROUSERS WERE EXCELLENT. MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE AND DURABLE THAN CURRENT ONES. GOOD
THAT TROUSERS COLOUR MATCHED THE SHIRT - MUCH SMATER.

TROUSER FABRIC IS FARTOO HOT AND UNBREATHABLE

UNABLE TO IRON A SEAM INTO THE PADDED TROUSERS. KEEP GETTING STATIC SHOCKS. TIGHT AROUND
GROIN. SHIRT UNTUCKS AROUND THE BACK DUE TO ELASTIC (LOOK AR ARMY LIGHTWEIGHTS OR BETTER
ADJUSTERS AT THE WAIST)

NORMAL POCKETS TOO SMALL - MONEY KEPT FALLING OUT. BELT LOOPS FOR UTILITY BELT TOO SMALL AND
THE SMALL LOOPS FOR NORMAL BELT SHOULD GO HIGHER, AT PRESENT THE WAIST BAND KEPT ROLLING
OVER. MATERIAL STARTING TO GO FURY. KNEE PADS FELT VERY AWKWARD.

MATERIAL DOES NOT GIVE, PREVENTING FREE MOVEMENT. THE USE OF DARTS AROUND THE WAIST AREA
WOULD ENSURE A COMFORTABLE FIT AND ALLOW FOR FREE MOVEMENT WHEN BEDING AND LIFTING
PATIENTS. TROUSER MATERIAL IS TOO HOT IN THE SUMMER. THE ARTICULATED KNEE IS THE BEST STYLE OF
TROUSER, INCLUDING THE POCKETS, HOWEVER SEWN IN KNEE PADS WOULD BE MORE BENEFICIAL.

THE TROUSERS REQUIRE A SHIRT GRIP. THE LOOPS FOR THE LOGO BELT ARE TOO LOW. THE CURRENT
MATERIAL IS TOO WARM FOR SUMMER WEAR.
