Dear Cheryl,
I would like to thank you and all the other inspirational women in the LWEW
organization for enabling me to be a beneficiary of the “Take The Next Step’ grant.
I see this as a huge honor and also an exceptional opportunity for both me and my
business to grow from this experience.
It has taken me ten years of long hard work, times of absolute dejection and times -more
recently - of seeing my business grow and flourish. I almost gave up three times along the
way, but my stubborn personality made me make the right choice – to stick with it and
see it through.
I find it an absolute joy to get up in the mornings and go to work, to look around me and
see the fruits of my labor and also to see my staff enjoying their work and working
environment and growing as people as they learn new skills and become more confident
about their abilities.
The prize money from the Grant will allow me to grow my business quicker than I had
planned, and help put me firmly on the path to becoming one of the inspirational and
successful women I was privileged to meet at the LWEW business forum on 14
September in Pretoria.
