Global Religion
Leading up to the end-times, and during the tribulation period, a
world-wide, global religion will emerge.
That global religion will be the official state sponsored and controlled religion
that will work closely with the Anti Christ and his False Prophet.
There will be no “separation of church and state” at that time, just the opposite.
The state will own and rule the unified world religion during the end times.
Indeed the False Prophet will force all mankind, through the state church, to
bow down and worship the image of the final global ruler, the dictator, the Anti
Christ. If you don’t worship the ruler, you will be tracked down and beheaded.
What an evangelism program, what incentive – turn or die, worship him or lose
your head!
During the end-times period, a global government, a global economy, and a
global religion, will be in total control of people’s lives. Those who are still on
the earth at that horrible time will do exactly what the government says, and will
worship who, how, and when the state religion dictates. There will be no
freedoms, period – no personal freedoms, no religious freedoms.
So how do we get from where we are today to what it will be like at the end?
Let’s explore several trends in “religion” that should be seen as confirmation
that God’s prophetic timetable is near.

Trend # 1: Christians are being persecuted around the world
(1) Christianity in America today is suffering from an incorrect interpretation of
the “separation of church and state doctrine”.
First of all, it’s not a “doctrine”, it’s not in the Constitution, it’s not in the Bill of
Rights.
The separation of church and state idea originated from a letter by Thomas
Jefferson – he was answering a letter from the Danbury Baptist Association who
wanted assurances that the new government would not make laws to control the
church and limit religious liberty (like Great Britain had done).
The Danbury letter to Jefferson (10/07/1801) requested assurances that
government “will not, dare not, assume the prerogatives of Jehovah and make
laws to govern the kingdom of Christ.”
In Jefferson’s reply (1/01/1802), he quoted the First Amendment of the
Constitution, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of
religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”. Then he added his words “thus
building a wall of separation between Church and State”.
The point of his comment being that government will not create a state church or
attempt to govern or limit the independent church in any way.
Some people, whose agenda is to eliminate all references to, and practices of,
Christianity in our country, claim that unless the government makes laws to
disallow the exercise of religion in public (or private) life, they are somehow
promoting that religion as national policy.
And, by creating laws that limit that “free exercise” of religion, government is
going directly against the very intent of the First Amendment. Indeed the words
“or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” are the emphasis of the First
Amendment.

So, by passing laws that govern, control, and restrict religion in America, the
government is actually creating a “state controlled church”.
(2) Because we are so enamored with the need to be “politically correct” these
days, we are letting society govern, control, and restrict religion in America as
well.
The religious liberties that we have enjoyed are increasingly being taken away
from us. We are too sensitive to people who don’t have the same Christian
world view, afraid they will get their feelings hurt, afraid they will be offended.
Some of the Christian liberties we are in danger of losing include:
Talking about Jesus Christ in public
Praying in public
Evangelizing non believers in public
Carrying a Bible to public school
Displaying Christian related symbols or words on clothing
Wearing Christian related jewelry in public
Having “In God We Trust” on our money
Saying “One Nation Under God” in our Pledge of Allegiance
Enjoying Nativity Scenes and “Merry Christmas” at Christmas
Having the Ten Commandments in our government buildings
(3) We are restricting ourselves from calling sin what it really is. We are afraid
we may offend somebody and give them the incentive to complain to Big
Brother who will pass some laws restricting our “intolerant behavior”.
The recently enacted “hate crimes” legislation makes the church potentially
liable for crimes against abortion or gay marriage if a quote from the Bible is
read in a church condemning those activities as sinful.
(4) Society is persecuting Christians more than ever before. Anything that
looks like Christianity is being persecuted. Suddenly Christians are looked upon
as being “radical” and “fringe” members of society.
When you stand up for what is right, you are made to look like the bad guy.

(5) Christians are reluctant to get involved in politics to try to change the
direction of the nation. Politicians who hold a Christian world view are labeled
as being right-wing fanatics by the media.
To demand decency and honesty from our elected officials is somehow out of
step with political society.
Even though we have the freedom of religious expression in the First
Amendment of the Constitution, Christians are routinely denied the right to
express their faith in public. And it is getting worse.
Indeed, the current administration is proactively changing all discussion about
freedom of religion to “freedom of worship”, instead of “freedom of religion”.
There is a tremendous difference in those two terms. “Freedom of religion”
includes the freedom of religious expression – including the freedom to pray and
evangelize in public. “Freedom of worship”, the way they are using it, includes
only the freedom to worship in private or in a public “house of worship”.
In other parts of the world, Christians are being persecuted more and more for
their beliefs. In socialistic countries, the state considers itself the “god” of the
people, and the only true religion of the world is outlawed.
In Islamic nations, Christians are considered the “Great Satan” and are not
allowed to exercise their beliefs or evangelize the Muslims. It can be very
dangerous to be a Christian in an Islamic country.
In Europe, which was once the religious center of the world under the Catholic
church, exotic cathedrals are cold and dead, beautiful but empty. The church in
America is heading in the same direction.
So how can the religion of the end-times be so radically different? Because it
will be a religion that is sponsored and controlled by the state. Things are
changing, and they are changing fast.

Trend # 2: An ever-increasing trend toward ISMS
An ever-increasing trend toward atheistic socialism, materialism, secularism,
humanism, and idontcareism (i-don’t-care-ism), is becoming the “god” of many
people.
Let’s talk about the “god” of socialism. The state will perform the function of
“god” for the people. The government will supply all the needs of people, “from
cradle to grave”.
America is heading toward socialism at a fast pace. We have ceded to the
government more authority and ownership in the past 10 years than ever before
in the history of our nation. We are expecting the government to solve all of our
problems and to take care of us for life.
Only half of the people in the country are paying taxes – supporting the other
half of the people who don’t. When people realize they can vote themselves a
free ride, a downward spiral will begin that will be difficult to stop.
When that happens (and it has already begun), the government will step in to
offer equal provision to all in exchange for total control. The government will
take care of you, and you will have no worries. That is called socialism and we
are letting it happen.
Other “isms” including materialism, secularism, humanism, and idontcareism
are the mish-mash of all other beliefs where God is disregarded in all aspects of
life.
Materialism focuses on the accumulation of material possessions in any way
they can be obtained. Greed is rampant in these people. The word “Mammon”
in Matthew 6 refers to an obsessive drive toward wealth and worldly gain as a
“god”. “You cannot serve two masters, God and Mammon” (Matt 6:24).
Secularism and Humanism focus on the belief that human activities should be
based on evidence and fact, unbiased by religious influence – this life is all there
is, there is no hereafter to worry about. These two “isms” are the religions of
humanity.

Idontcareism is so prevalent in America these days. It focuses on the belief that
even though all the stuff that you hear about religion may be true, you choose to
live your life in pursuit of your own desires and priorities. The fact that God
may or may not really exist will not affect how you choose to live your life.
Add all the “isms” together and you get the same thing. A fatal decision made
by some people to ignore the God given responsibility to fear God and walk
humbly in His presence. In the end, they will realize their mistake, but it will
too late.

Trend # 3: Islam is growing faster than Christianity
The Islam religion is growing faster than Christianity. Statistics pulled from the
World Christian Database estimate that Christianity will grow at a 1.04% rate
for the next 40 years (through 2050), whereas Islam will grow at a 1.74% rate –
almost twice that of Christianity.
The worldwide population is growing at an annual rate of 1.41%. Since the
Christian growth rate is less than that of the general population, it is obvious that
we are losing the battle for the souls of humanity.
Furthermore, even though the growth in Christianity is projected to be 1.04%, it
is assumed that this number is high when considering that a lot of people who
are counted as Christians are not actually Christians.
Christian growth is from a combination of new births into Christian families
(which certainly does not automatically guarantee that those children will grow
up to be Christians), as well as evangelism efforts resulting in conversions.
Christian growth requires people to come to Christ in repentance and faith, not
just growing up in a Christian family.
However, the growth of Islam is attributed primarily to new births into Muslim
families (which almost always result in those children growing up in the Muslim
religion). Muslim growth requires only that children be born into the family.
Another substantial aspect of the growth of Islam is their immigration or
infiltration into other nations.
Parts of the world are being transformed into Islamic countries in no more than a
few decades, as the Muslim people migrate in and take over countries at an
accelerated rate.
Once a substantial number of Muslims are in a country, they aggressively move
to force their culture on the people. This has happened time and time again in
Europe.

The entire Middle East (except Israel) is controlled by Islam. Most of Eastern
and Western European nations are becoming Islamic before our very eyes.
Let’s talk about the growth of Islam in America. Even though we are at war
with radical Islam terrorists, as a result of the attacks on the World Trade Center
and Pentagon on 9/11/2001, a lot of people in America are softening on their
positions toward Islam.
The number of Muslims in America is growing rapidly. Mosques are being built
all over our country. Most recently a Mosque is planned at the site of the WTC
attacks, and as a whole, people are not getting upset about it. Certainly they
have the religious freedom to build a Mosque, but they are putting it at “ground
zero” as a sign of their “victory” over the “great Satan of America”. It is
certainly a slap in the face of America – and we’re going to let them do it. Islam
has found favor with a lot of people around the world, including right here in our
own country.
The total number of Christians projected in 2025 will be 2.6 billion (33% of
worldwide population at that time). The total number of Muslims (Islam)
projected in 2025 will be 1.8 billion (23% of worldwide population at that time).
At this point in time, Islam is the second largest religion in the world – although
as stated earlier, Islam is growing at a faster rate.
So as we move rapidly toward the end of civilization as we know it, we are
witnessing a drastic change in the makeup of the religions of the world.
And the picture looks very much like the global religion that is prophesied for
the last days.

AND THEN SUDDENLY THE CHRISTIANS ARE TAKEN OUT!
When God deems the time to be right, He will have Gabriel sound the trumpet
and the Lord Jesus Christ will descend to take His people out of the chaos, to be
with Him forever. This is called the Rapture.
Things change rapidly when Christians are taken out of the world at the Rapture.
Humanity will be left with a combination of the dominant organized “religion”
at that time, Islam, and a growing world-wide atheistic socialism and other
“isms”.
People all over the world who were not true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ,
will be left behind.
With the Holy Spirit gone from America and other Christian nations (since the
Holy Spirit lives in the hearts of Christians, and Christians will be gone), and
because of the aggressive expansion behavior of Islam, and the pressure of the
current trends toward socialism and the other “isms”, America and other
industrialized nations will fall.
The European Union (EU) will have been on an aggressive expansion trend of
its own – dividing the globe into 10 regions, each governed by one of its
powerful leaders (see my article Hear Prophecy, Vol 1, Num 4, Date 4/15/2010).
The EU will assume the role of the revived Roman Empire in prophetic studies.
An extremely powerful leader will emerge as the head of the EU governing
body, effectively taking control of the world.
This world wide leader is indeed the Anti-Christ.

In a stoke of genius, to get the people of the world to believe in him, he does
something that leaders have been trying to do for 60 years, he brings true peace
to the Middle East. He imposes a peace agreement with Israel and its
Arabic/Islamic neighbors.
After making a 7 year peace agreement with Israel, he will implement a global
economic control system, accessed and managed by the infamous computer ID
chip in the forehead or hand of all of the world’s inhabitants (containing the 666
code). People will not be able to buy or sell anything, including food, unless
they have the ID chip.
But he doesn’t just want to control the global government and the world wide
economy. He wants to be worshipped! He demands to be worshipped! This is
where the global religion comes in.
As mentioned above, the remaining “religions” of the world at this time are
Islam, along with the global trend toward socialism, materialism, secularism,
humanism, and idontcareism.
In order to get Islam to yield to his authority, the Anti Christ will raise up a
Muslim leader to take control of that vast religion, to bring it in line with his
obsession for the worship of the world’s populations.
This Muslim leader will be the False Prophet mentioned earlier. He will assume
leadership of the global religion and will unite all peoples of the world under the
great global leader. He will even convince the Muslim people that the Anti
Christ, the global leader, is indeed their long awaited “savior”, their Mahdi.
As mentioned earlier the False Prophet will require all people of the earth to
worship the image of the Anti Christ (called the Beast in prophecy).
Muslim people are used to following an extremely strict set of rules for living –
they will fall in line.
People living in a socialistic society are used to the government making all the
rules, having NO freedoms at all. They will walk the line.
The materialists, secularist, humanists, and idontcareists will understand where
“their bread is buttered” and they will quickly follow the dictates of the Anti
Christ.
Not to mention the consequences for NOT falling in line – they will fall apart
(literally).

They may even change the name of the religion to something like “Global
Worship Network” (GWN) to make it sound better – more acceptable to the rest
of the world.
Most of the people of the world who are not officially of the Islamic faith, will
reluctantly agree to follow the great evangelism program (as mentioned above).
They will lose their heads (literally) if they refuse to join the ever-growing
“religion”.
Considering the alternatives, people will do whatever the Anti Christ and the
False Prophet tell them to do.
They will be willing to accept the computer chip ID, which will be tied to a
commitment to worship the global leader. Indeed the people will be willing to
worship the Anti Christ in exchange for being able to live (they will get to “keep
their heads”, and they will get to eat)!
Halfway through the 7 year peace agreement with Israel, the Anti Christ will
break the treaty and leave the Israeli people helpless against their enemies –
primarily their Islamic Arab neighbors.
He will also force his followers to fight against the Jews, and the people who
have come to Jesus Christ as Savior after the Rapture.
That’s when it goes from bad to worse. The Russians rebel and, along with their
friends, the Islamic Arab nations around the Middle East, attack Israel in an
attempt to wipe them off of the face of the earth (which is specifically
prophesied in the Bible).
About the same time, the Kings of the East (China and other Oriental people)
march in over the dried up Euphrates River to secure their oil reserves for
commerce (see my article Hear Prophecy, Vol 1, Num 5, Date 8/15/2010).
And then, last but certainly not least, God unleashes a series of judgments
against the rebellious people of the earth. But if you will notice, God gives the
people of the world the chance to repent of their wicked ways and turn to him,
even during the judgments (Rev 9:20-21 and Rev 16:9-11).
Then, exactly 7 years from the date of the original peace agreement with Israel,
The Lord Jesus Christ returns on his white horse from Heaven, with his people
(that would be those of us who were Raptured!) to put down the rebellion and
establish his kingdom on earth.

Now let me ask you a tough question. Would you rather be taken out of the
world at the Rapture and return with Christ 7 years later, or would you prefer to
be left behind to endure the horrible events of the Tribulation?
What would you have to do to take the easy way out, to be called up to meet
Jesus Christ in the air at the Rapture, to miss all the horrible events of the
Tribulation period, the Anti Christ, the False Prophet?
With so many “religions” in the world today, competing for the hearts and
minds of people, please understand what God’s word says. Jesus said “I am the
way, the truth, and the life. Nobody comes to the Father but by ME”
(John 14:6)
What does that mean? It means simply that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to
receive eternal life and to go to Heaven when you die (or when He comes back
for us at the Rapture, whichever comes first).
Islam does not proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and therefore is not the
way to Heaven!
The other “isms” of the world do not recognize Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior,
and therefore are not the way to Heaven!
If a “religion” does not have Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, it is a FALSE
RELIGION!
The false religions of today, and the false religions of the end time, are just that .
. . FALSE.
The only TRUE religion today is not a “religion” at all – it is a
RELATIONSHIP with the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
He can be your Savior today and will take you to Heaven with him when He
comes for his own at the Rapture (oh yes, and you get to come back with him in
style on a beautiful white horse and watch him deal with his enemies!).
Come to the only TRUE religion, the Lord Jesus Christ, before it is too late!
