wider musical family. Students also participate in sight reading, chorus, theory and composition classes, as
well as many recreational activities.

The gathering of campers and staff at OMNI creates a small vision of the world as it might be…OMNI
Camp combines traditional camping activities with a program of core values to create a community of
individuals who work together to explore and to grow in respect, confidence and ability. OMNI, which
stands for Open Minds, New Ideas, emphasizes participation, challenge, team effort, cooperation,
communication and, of course, fun and friendship. In the close, caring, non-competitive environment,
campers and staff live together, resolve conflict, work, play, and create with the strengths and talents that
they have within them. This doesn't just happen; these values need to be practiced and shared in all
aspects of the camp experience from the elective activities to the awareness workshops and in each
encounter among campers and staff. The OMNI program provides that special balance of structure and
freedom for maximum success, safety and enjoyment.
