Amaru – Country and continent of the Meikarinai, a floating island known
to eclipse a sun or moon at times, major source of bells, banners, whitewood
sap, cranberry wood and catoblepas eyes.
Aradi Doman – Continent of the Earth Quadrant, made up of the countries
of Bumagat, Funtanilla, Kaliko and Lugbara.
Ardana – Town of ancient origins, location variable, but generally
assumed to be located somewhere in the Meikarinai, possessing powerful,
ancient and usually forbidden magic that even the gods fear.
Ardhann-Shyoko – Kingdom of the Earth Quadrant, one of the Four
Nations and later, one of the Juuni Kokki, very similar in appearance, language
and cultural aspects to oldEarth Japan, major source of silk, fruits, sake, precious
gems and stones, dates, honey, incense, dyes, skin inks, oils, porcelain, resins,
aloe, ginseng, teas, powders, nuts and jewelry, one of the richest countries with a
written language.

changewinds, major source of turnips, dreambeans and cassava.

of magic, curses and ancient chaotic powers.
Hazura – Red sun of the Meikarinai, known for extensive cave systems,
extremely harsh deserts and ‘polar’ environments at the poles.
Heaven – Realm linked to the Crown of the World, home and birthplace of
angelic races.
Hell – Kingdom of the Meikarinai, ruled by Lucifer (given as a gift from
Inari and Sauoh) and protected by its patron goddess, Natsuko, major source of
topaz, candies, smokestone, fleshroot and charcoal. Later one of the Juuni Kokki
(Twelve Kingdoms).
Hell Gates – The nine gateways into the kingdom of Hell, made of various
materials and filled with many varieties of creatures and trials travelers must
overcome before they can gain entry, unless Lucifer or one of his kin lets them in.
In order, they are; Kadath, Celephais, Ooth-Nargai, Ulthar, Lerion, Hatheg, Nir,
Ngranek and Oriab.
Hesperin – Country of the Meikarinai, ruled by Inari and Sauoh, a
conglomerate of several countries that since became incredibly diverse, a major
source of colored salt, plum flowers, sapodilla and ramie berries.
Hiyati – Continent of the Air Quadrant, made up of the countries/kingdoms
of Liaree, Shenyang, Niuli and Kpelle, as well as Czhao Lake.
Honra River – River of the Fire Quadrant, acidic, purple in color.
Humamura – Continent of the Earth Quadrant, unexplored until the
Creation Wars, anathema to True Humans.
Imri – Magical river of the Meikarinai, especially valuable to the queendom
of the Southern Neikurukai, the only mages who have been able to master the
magic of the silver waters.
Iron Mountains – Mountains of the Air Quadrant, iron-rich,
Ishter – Country of the Air Quadrant, on the Xhanagi continent, a

Jotunheim – Country of the Eternal Spheres, home of various female
races, location variable, major source of zebra sinew, swine-thing sinew,

Juuni Kokki – The Twelve Kingdoms. A coalition of twelve countries based
on trade agreements and the friendships of their various rulers. Countries making
up the Juuni Kokki are Hell, Ardhann-Shyoko, Taegar, Narinia, Kyong, Northern
Lands, the Neikurukai (union of Kazenokizu and the Southern Neikurukai), Palsi,
Solaria, Caves of Kreshku’morium, Kyogebi and Engenho.
Jyutaronue – Star of the Air Quadrant, blue-violet in color.
Kadath – The First Hell Gate, Kadath is the gate of bone, where cyclopean
creatures lurk, which can be easily defeated, but their deaths leave behind a kind
of troubling empathic energy.
Kaliko – Country of the Earth Quadrant, on the Aradi Doman continent,
major source of kukui nut sap, tree-horn sinew and esparto grass.
Kandahar – Kingdom of the Meikarinai, similar in appearance to oldEarth
Java, a prosperous fishing economy, major source of oyster meat.
Kasakedo – Kingdom of the Water Quadrant, similar in appearance to
oldEarth Assyria, known for producing fine silks and linens, and training two-
spirits and similar mystics.

Kinyala – Star of the Meikarinai, a blazing supernova that sometimes
moves close enough to act as a sixth sun. Also a symbol emblazoned on Hell’s
banner, purple in color.
Kiorudan – Continent of the Air Quadrant, made up of the countries of
Sinhara and Uth Nagor.
Kiran – Country of the Meikarinai, a rich area shared by the Four Nations,
and later, the Juuni Kokki, a major source of fire-boar teeth, magah bird skins,
labradorite, broccoli and kangaroo bones.
Kitanorikare – Star of the Meikarinai, white in color.
Kokorono – Violet moon of the Meikarinai, known for its deep canyons,
large quakes, blue-violet seas and tsunamis that are capable of covering the
entire moon, major source of glitter root, apple pikake berries of a blue or purple
hue, and cottonwood leaves.
Korikokaido – Province of the country of Artica, an area of high magic
where curses and enchantments literally take on a life of their own, major source
of cranberries of a delicious variety, sagebrush wood, shagrat bones and
armadillo shells.
Kpelle – Country of the Air Quadrant, on the Hiyati continent, major source
of rosewood, basilisk feathers, marbles and cauliflower.
Kudela – Country of the Earth Quadrant, neighbor and political ally of
Telamar, mostly jungle and rainforests, a major source of afrit bones, lobsters,
silverberry wood, feldspar and boar fur.
Kura – Star of the Meikarinai, purple in color.
Kuulei River – River of Nanji-Shurya, in the Air Quadrant.
Kyogebi – Kingdom of the Meikarinai, given as a gift to Inari’s mate
Kamali’I, one of the Juuni Kokki, a lush land with ancient ruins, underground
caves and many sacred temples, major source of demu bones, waterbuffalo
meat and cotton leaves.
Kyong – Country of the Fire Quadrant, ruled by Suzaku, one of the Juuni
Kokki, major source of toraton shells, snakeweed wood and oyster pearls.
Kythamil – Star of the Meikarinai, rainbow-colored, actually a planet which
turns out to be the far-future remains of what was once known to Humans as
oldEarth. This star is a favored symbol of magic-users and gods.
Lacar – City of Artica, in the Eternal Spheres.
Laupola – Country of the Air Quadrant, consists of a series of interlinked
‘islands’, primarily hunter-gatherer in culture, major source of para nut wood,
screwpine sap, elderberry wood and lace.
Lerion – The Fifth Hell Gate, made of stone, this gate starts to illustrate
the terrifying aspects of Hell, as it is surrounded by twisted grey trees that bear
human-like hands, faces, eyes, mouths and noses, which can move and are
capable of some intelligence, in addition to very minor imps and demons.
Lesser Eastern Continent of Tel-Amirith – Continent of the Earth
Quadrant, made up of the Diarche desert and the kingdoms of Ardhann-Shyoko,

Liaree – Kingdom of the Air Quadrant, on the Hiyati continent, known for
its relatively large populations of Amazons, hijras and two-spirits, major source of
aloe, semoloca, exceptionally sweet candies, rubber sap and timestone.
Liuang-Ji – Blue moon of the Meikarinai, a water-covered body with huge
whirlpools that can cover the moon, a rich source of water-holding apples.
Lugbara – Country of the Earth Quadrant, on the Aradi Doman continent,
major source of chalk, pigs, sugar, kueta feathers and lemons.
Mako Sika – ‘Bad Lands’, generic term for any land regarded as
dangerous, cursed, or inhabited by True Humans.
