Tricks I Can Do
Alexander Hermann and Harry Houdini- Cut out both rectangles and the slits on the edges and the slot in the middle. Tuck the rectangle with the slits though the slot to make into a book. The try-it does not require knowledge of Houdini but I found it difficult to find information on Hermann and what I did find was not that impressive to me. So we expanded our biography to include Houdini as he was American and Hermann was not. The questions I wrote inside the book to be answered are: Where and when did X Live? What types of tricks and props did he use? What made him famous? When did X die? Specific for Houdini: How did he die? What else besides magic was Houdini interested in? (occult, reveling tricksters who stole money, fake séance) Alexander Hermann lived Feb. 1844 - Dec 1896. His most famous trick was bullet catching- A gun is shot at the magician and my “magic” the bullet is in the magician’s hand or mouth.. He was famous because he was the first magician to use humour to distract the audience while performing tricks.

Magic TechnologyFan fold Define Patter and sleight of hand. We used magic stickers from a craft store, scrapbook paper and a paper doll cut-out to decorate the front. This is such a simple lapbook that the fun comes from the decorating.
Tricks I can do- Hole punch on the X and use a brass fastener to hold together. Write the names of tricks that she can perform
