Job Purpose: To provide clerical support to a School or Service and its external customers.




    Key Accountabilities/Primary Responsibilities (6-10 bullet points maximum)                   % Time


       To respond professionally to straightforward factual enquiries, received either on
        the phone or in person, using judgement as to when to escalate to a more senior
        officer and taking/passing messages as appropriate

       To sort, open and distribute post in a timely manner.

       To support other staff by undertaking routine clerical tasks including
        photocopying papers, word-processing/typing work, filing information and
        booking rooms.

       To make accurate use of computer systems to input data and produce pre-
        defined basic reports

       To collate and distribute documents as required.

       Any other duties that fall within the purview of the post as allocated by the line
        manager following consultation with the postholder.
