Netprog related stuff
SUF uses RMI - Java version of RPCs.
Has it's own FTP client (We found out the hard way that
you HAVE to end ftp commands with \r\n!)
Java servlets - generate dynamic web pages for the
SUF interface
Distributed computing - system programmers can
perform part of their jobs from any machine that has a
web browser.
Lots of security issues! Customers want to be sure their
data is secure!
Want a job?
We're looking for Java programmers (must have gotten
100s on all Netprog projects...)
I get $2000 if I recommend you and they hire you! (So
send me those resumes!!)
In all seriousness, if you're interested, send me an
email at scomerfo@us.ibm.com. They are looking to add
skilled Java developers to the project and you would get
a change to be exposed to some leading edge Java
stuff.
