Help Make Stoles for 2011 General Assembly! Dear Disciples Everywhere,
The 2011 General Assembly July 9-13, in Nashville, TN, may seem like the distant future. But
from where I sit, it¹s just around the corner! Planning is continuing at a quick pace, with all kinds
of fun, fellowship and faithfulness in store for everyone. I hope you plan to attend.
I write to extend to you a special invitation to participate in General Assembly worship, by
creating stoles that will be worn by everyone from our General Minister and President to the
tiniest youth choir member. Patia Rarick, fabric artist and Disciple member at Allisonville
Christian Church, Indianapolis, has designed this year¹s stole, based on our theme: OTell it!²
It is intentionally a simple design that is low-cost, AND good-looking!
Attached are all the files you will need: Stole Instructions, bottom half pattern, chalice template,
color image, letter template, top half pattern, b/w image, neck image template.

provide to the General Assembly. Please reply to generalassembly@ogmp.disciples.org to
advise us of your *pledge* of stoles toward this church wide effort.
I hope you will also plan to attend General Assembly in Nashville, bring your family and friends,
and enjoy all the excitement of the 2011 General Assembly! Take advantage of early registration
discounts that range from 25% to 60% off! Visit today! http://www.disciples.org/ga
