                        The Sun

The Sun is made of gas and dust.

Interesting information
The Sun’s diameter is 863,000 miles long.
In about 5,000 million years from now the Sun will stop burning.
A total eclipse takes about 8 minutes.
A eclipse is made when the Moon blocks the Sun a little bit.
            Mercury
           Mercury
    Mercury is 35,960,000 miles
    from the sun. Mercury takes
88 years to circle the Sun.
    Mercury is made of core,
    mantle, and crust. Mercury
    has no moons.
INTERESTING INFORMATION:
Mercury’s night temperature is -300°F.
Mercury’s day temperature is 680°F.
At Mercury there is almost no
atmosphere or weather.

            Venus
O moons average temperature
          900 °F 480°C
VENUS’ distance from the sun is 67,190,000 mi.

       Venus Orbit’s 7 ½ Earth Month
                       EARTH
Earth is 92,900,000 miles from the Sun. Earth
takes 365.26 days to go around the Sun.
Earth is made of Crust, Mantle,
Outer core, and inner core.
Earth has 1 moon.

Interesting facts.
The center of the Earth is made out of
the metals, iron, and nickel.
The Earth has 6 different plates which
makes Earthquakes when they move.

*The fourth planet from the sun
*Mars is the second smallest planet
*Mars has two small moons: Phobos and Deimos

-Phobos is 14 miles across and Deimos is 8
              miles across.
-Phobos is closer to Mars than any other
               moon in the solar system.
                             JUPITER
Distance from the Sun: 483 million miles

 JUPITER ORBIT’S 11.86 EARTH YEARS

Jupiter is made out of 75
percent hydrogen and 25 58 Moons or more!!!!!!
     percent helium.

Interesting Information:
*Jupiter is the largest planet—it has a diameter of 89,000 miles
*”The Great Red Spot” is three times larger than Earth
*Jupiter’s magnetic field is 10,000 times more powerful than the Earth’s
magnetic field
*”The Great Red Spot” is an enormous storm that has raged for over 300 years
       Saturn
*Saturn is 887,660,000
miles away from the Sun!

*It orbits the sun in 29.43 This is the symbol
Earth years! for Saturn ↑
*Saturn is made out of
gas, usually these planets
are called “Gas Giants”.
*Saturn is about twenty times bigger INTERESTING INFORMATION:
than the Earth. Saturn has thousands of rings.
Each ring group is made up of
*Saturn has 18 moons. There hundreds of other rings. These
are 12 more moons of Saturn but rings are made of gases, dust,
have not been given names. and liquids. Some of the gases
                                       are poisonous!
                  Uranus
                 Uranus
Uranus is 1,782,880,000 from the sun.
Uranus takes 84 Earth years to go
          around the Sun once.
Uranus is made of Core, Liquid, and
          Gas.
          Uranus has 21 moons!
Interesting Information:

Uranus has 11 rings made out of
        dust and rock.
                 Neptune
– Neptune is It takes 164.79 Earth
2,796,000,000 miles years for Neptune to orbit
from the Sun. the sun once.
– Neptune is a gas giant.
                            Neptune has at least 11
– The atmosphere is moons circling around it,
mostly hydrogen and as well as rings of dust.
  helium.
– The liquid contains The Sun’s strong gravity
  mainly ammonia, keeps Neptune revolving
  methane,water. around it
