Happy New Year to you! May

God bless you as we move into

the year of 2007! A new year

reminds us that time is always

moving on. May we use our time

well in serving God here on earth, knowing that one day our “time” will

literally be up and we will be with Him.

This weekend we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family. As we look at

the figures in our manger scene we see Mary, Joseph and their son, Jesus.

How special that family is to us as Christian people! How they looked to God for so much! They

had to trust in God all the time. Well, our families are holy also. We thank God for our parents,

brothers and sisters, grandparents, aunts and uncles. We also ask God how we can be a good

person in what our relationship is to them.

Our Christmas season continues for 1 more week. On Monday, January 1st, we celebrate the

Feast of Mary, the Mother of God. It is not a Holy Day this year because it falls on a Monday.

Next weekend we will conclude the season with the Feast of the Epiphany and begin Ordinary

Time.

As the wise men journey to the manger next weekend we may look at how our journey to the

manger has been this year. I hope that you have experienced how much God loves you. He

knows all about you. Trust in Him.
