This is what we want to create
Labelled parts
Parts List
• Select the dimensions menu
• Click on notes
• Nothing
will
change on
the screen
but place
the pointer
on a
component
• Click and
hold with
the left
hand
button
• Drag off to
the side
• A call out
should
appear
• Select the dimensions menu again
• Click on notes
• Nothing will
change on the
screen but place

• Drag off to the

• A call out should
appear
• Do the same again with each part
• Note, selecting a line or curve will give a call
out with a pointer rather than a dot. Selecting
a space will give a dot. The line is selected
when it goes bright blue.
Use shift – Z to zoom in and pick
out features and make adding the
notes easier
• Make sure the annotation selector is
selected
• Click twice quickly on each note to bring
up this box
• Click in the text box
• Type in the parts number
• Click on o.k.
Do this for each part in turn
• You can use the
text note tool
instead of the
menu
• You can move a
note by selecting
it with the
annotation
selector (It will
go red),Click and
hold with the left
hand button and
dragging it
• Select the tables menu
• Select add table
• Click in the title
box
• Change the title
to parts list
• Type in 3
columns
• Type in 7 rows
• MAKE SURE
EMPTY
CELLS IS NOT
TICKED
• Click on o.k.
Click and hold down the left hand
button, drag the table to the top right
hand corner (If the table isn’t selected,
that is red select the annotation selector
and click on the table)
• If the table isn’t
selected, that is
red select the
annotation
selector
• Double click on
the table, this
should bring up
the properties
box
• Click on the title
so it goes blue
• Wait and click again
• Click in the text box and press
delete to remove the word title
• Type in the headings
Click on o.k.
• Make sure the
annotation
selector is
selected
• Place the
pointer over the
first note in the
No column, it
should go light
blue
• Click twice quickly with the left hand but
• Type in 1 in the text box that appears.
• Click on o.k.
• Place the pointer
over the second
note, it should go
bright blue
• Click twice
quickly with the
left hand button
• Type 2 in the text
box that appears
• Click on o.k.
• Repeat this for
each note in the
first column
• Now select
the notes in
the second
column so
they go bright
blue
• Click twice
quickly with
the left hand
button
• Type a
description
for each bit in
the text box
• Make sure
the
annotation
selector is
selected
• Place the
pointer on
the table so
it goes
bright blue
Quickly click twice on the table
once it has gone blue, the table
properties box should appear.
• Click on the
description
heading so
it turns blue
• Click on the
width box
and change
it to 40 mm
• Click on
o.k.
• Make sure the
annotation selector
is selected
• Place the pointer
over the first note in
the No Off column,
it should go light
blue. Click twice
quickly with the left
hand button
• Type how many of
the selected bit is
required in the text
box that appears
• Click on o.k.
• Repeat this for each
note in the final
column
Save the drawing
