The Claims of Christ
Self-Existence: like God, he has no external
dependencies.
– John 5:26 "For just as the Father has life in Himself,
even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself;
Holds power over life and death:
– John 5:25 "Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming
and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the
Son of God; and those who hear shall live.
Holds the power to save from judgment:
– John 5:24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My
word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life,
and does not come into judgment, but has passed out
of death into life.

“Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for your people and
your holy city to finish transgression, to put an
end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in
everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and
prophecy and to anoint the most holy.”

I, Daniel, observed in the Jer. 25:9-11“I will summon all
books the number of the the peoples of the north and
years which was my servant Nebuchadnezzar
revealed as the word of king of Babylon,” declares
the LORD to Jeremiah the LORD, “and I will bring

"Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for your people and
your holy city …”
Also confirmed in 2 Chronicles 36:20,21 “Nebuchadnezzar
carried into exile to Babylon the remnant . . . and they
became servants to him and his sons until the kingdom of
Persia came to power. The land enjoyed its sabbath rests; all
the time of its desolation it rested, until the seventy years
were completed in fulfillment of the word of the Lord spoken
by Jeremiah.”

1. This passage accurately predicts the date of the
coming of Christ over 500 years before the fact!
2. The pre-Christian date of Daniel 9 cannot be denied!
Even skeptics don’t take this route.
3. The date for this decree is accepted by all.
4. Could the New Testament authors fake its fulfillment?
Impossible! Tiberius, Augustus, Herod, Quirinius, Pilot,
Passover on a Friday…
