Re: Helpdesk Software Request for Proposal
The Appleton Area School District (AASD) is seeking Helpdesk Software to fit our environment. The
software will be selected for immediate purchase and implementation. All bids should be submitted to
Adam Hanson via e-mail to hansonadam@aasd.k12.wi.us by 3:00 PM November 4th, 2011.
We are looking to fulfill the following requirements:
1. Active Directory Integration for various user roles;
2. End User Dashboard with self service of incident management
3. Web/Mobile access compliant with common browsers of IE, Firefox, Android, and Apple IOS.
4. Asset Discovery
5. Incident tracking, including problem identification based on categories, possible problem solving
suggestions, request management, and reporting of the problems.
6. Detailed reporting on timeline of incident handling, common incidents, and asset tracking
7. Software licensing management
8. Purchase tracking for hardware and software
9. On-premise hosting of application and database
Features that give an advantage to a product should include the following:
1. Power Management
2. Training Management
3. Facilities Management
4. Ability to add and track projects
5. Approval Flow
6. Remote control for PC’s
7. Barcode tracking and asset management
Vendors may submit multiple bids for multiple products if they so choose. If the product bid includes
multiple modules or separate features comprising a total package please list pricing for each module/feature
separately. The AASD reserves the right to add or subtract modules/features from any bid based on actual

About the AASD environment:
Located geographically in Appleton, WI, the AASD serves 15,000 students through 1500 staff members.
We are primarily a Windows PC based district with 27 physical sites housing a total of 5000 networked
computers. The I.T. department is centrally located in the district with 12 staff members.
