Description: The Foster Grandparent Program serves 14 counties and places
volunteers age 60 and over to provide one-on-one assistance to children with
special and exceptional needs at schools, pediatric units, and day care centers.
All volunteers are placed through registered program sites. The Retired and
Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) also serves frail elderly homebound clients.
They provide respite care for those with Alzhheimers disease, Parkinsons
disease, etc. Volunteer recruitment is on-going and anyone interested should

receive a monthly stipend, annual and sick leave, 11 paid holidays, mileage,
uniforms, etc.
