					Loofah Soap Slices

Loofah Soap Slices

You will need the following materials:

    1. Loofah Tube Mold
    2. Loofah Sponge
    3. 3lbs Melt & Pour Soap Base of your favorite variety

You're ready to begin

    1. Wipe out the inside of your loofah tube mold with rubbing alcohol to
        insure its cleanliness.
    2. Rinse your loofah in a bath of 2-3 gallons water and 3-4oz bleach.
    3. Rinse thoroughly in fresh water and squeeze out any residual water.
    4. You can trim the ends of your loofah for a more attractive appearance.
    5. Insert the end cap into one end of your mold.
    6. Rinse your loofah sponge with warm water and squeeze out the excess
        moisture.
    7. Insert as many Loofahs into the mold as you desire for your project.
    8. Melt your soap in the microwave or double boiler.
    9. You may add color and/or fragrance to your soap if you desire and mix
        well.
    10. Pour your melted soap base into the loofah mold until you have
        completely covered the loofah.
    11. Allow the soap to harden and come to room temperature. Do not skip this
        step.
    12. Place your mold in the freezer for 2-3 hours.
    13. Remove you soap from the freezer and remove the end cap.
    14. Press the soap from the mold using your thumbs, and wrap in a paper
        towel until it returns to room temperature.
    15. Slice your soap log in 3/4 - 1 inch slices using a carving knife.
    16. Wrap slices in clear plastic wrap.
