Luxury Tax related Provisions
• Only one tier for Luxury Tax @10%
for room tariff > ` 2000
• Exemption from Luxury Tax during
“Off Seasons” for 3 months.
• For new hotels & expansion/
extension of existing hotels,
exemption from Luxury Tax for 8
years with min. investment of ` 1
Crore.

adjoining One Hectare land.

Land related Provisions
• Land Bank for Tourism Projects:
90 years’ lease or Development
Agreement for 30 years.
• No Stamp Duty payable on these lands

• For all new Tourism Projects or
expansion of existing Tourism
Projects by purchasing new land,
Concession in Diversion Premium
and Diversion Tax to be assessed at
20% of Residential land use.
• The above concession shall be
available during the entire Project
Period & also for all diverted lands
adjacent to new Heritage Hotel

Ecotourism & Adventure Tourism
• Eco Tourism Dev Board to be the Nodal Agency
for Forest Lands.
• For identified non-forest lands, Tourism dept to
issue licenses up to 15 years to private players
for ecotourism & adventure activities.

Film Tourism
• MPSTDC to be the Nodal Agency for facilitating
film producers.
• MPSTDC shall help in getting all clearances/
permissions for film shooting on best effort
basis.
• An inventory of locations, promotional material
to be prepared.

Water Tourism
• Tourism Dept to be the Nodal Dept for tourism
activity for all major water bodies like Indira
Sagar, Gandhi Sagar, Ban Sagar, Bargi etc.
• Land near these water bodies to be made
available to private players
• Tourism Dept to issue licenses for Cruises,
House Boats, Speed Boats etc.

Air Connectivity within State
• Tourism Dept to invite private players for
operating within State.
• Seats to be underwritten by Govt.
• VAT on ATF to be refunded.
• Initially for connecting Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior,
Jabalpur and Satna.
• Can be extended to other cities within State and
out of State.

Special Tourism Zones
• To be notified by State Tourism
Promotion Council.
• Exemption from Stamp Duty for
tourism projects.
• Exemption from Entertainment Tax &
Luxury Tax 10 years
• 75% discount on license fee of Bar
