(1) 第一個複合關係代名詞 what 引導名詞子句,做句子的主詞,後接單數動詞(is)。例如:

第二個複合關係代名詞 what 引導名詞子句,做 find out 的受詞。

(2) 動詞 matter 表「重要,有重大關係」之意,例如:

‧ It matters little if I miss the train.

‧ It doesn't matter to me whether she comes or not.

(3) 副詞 more 修飾動詞(matters),表示「更…地」 ,常與 than 連用。例如:

‧ I love you more than I do anyone else.

‧ Students are using the library more than they used to.

(4) 不定詞片語(to find out...)作主詞補語,例:

‧ To see is to believe.

(5) 動詞 work 表「有效,行得通」 ,例:

‧ Will this new method work?

‧ Your suggestion works well.

(6) 副詞 best 修飾動詞(works),表「最好地,最…」。例如:

‧ He works best under pressure.

‧ I like summer (the) best.
