Accessing WebFiles
There may be times when you are using a machine other than your own while accessing
the University of Richmond network. In this case, your webfiles account will not be
mounted and you will have to access it manually.
This Tech-Tip will cover two ways to accomplish this task using a PC:
- Windows Explorer
- Start | Run
Using Windows Explorer
Step Action
1 Open Windows Explorer.
a. Right-click on the Start button
b. Select Explore
2 In the address bar, enter the path for your webfiles account:
Student, Faculty & Staff \\webfiles\users\\
Student Organization \\webfiles\org\
Press the Enter key.
Using Start | Run
Step Action
1 Click the Start button and select Run…
2 In the address bar, enter the path for your webfiles account:
Student, Faculty & Staff \\webfiles\users\\
Student Organization \\webfiles\org\
Press the Enter key.
