Event Selection and White Consultancy
• The reason we selected this event as our assignment was

although it sounds quite general for wedding, yet it is still

• White Consultancy is the name selected for our company which is
practising in wedding consultancy. The name was initialised

Recommendation
• Though Plan Two (2) is relatively expensive that Plan One
(1) with a margin of about $100 and exceeded the budget
amount of event, I recommend Plan 2 on the following
grounds:
Venue:
Although Plan 1 turns out to be cheaper than Plan Two by
$125, Plan 2 seems to offer exactly what you desire, a
comfortable ambience. It is set out in an open space
overlooking the City Skyline and Swan River.
Serving Arrangement:
Plan 2 has been customised to provide an exclusive menu
for the Bridal Table as desired. This arrangement does add a
difference to the normal dinner and shows a respect for the
Bride and Groom.
Recommendation
• Foods and Drinks: There is a wide variety of choice in Plan 2
for both foods and drinks served and the price should not be
taken into consideration because the guests have a lot to
choose from.
We therefore advise you to consider Plan 2 thought it is
slightly expensive than Plan 1, because there are sometimes
when we have to make unfavourable choices. Our advice is to
consider what is offered and be careful not to compromise
quality for price.
I still leave you to make your final choice. Good luck.

Considering the geograhical disparity of our member, the use of CMC to me,
brought home how powerful it can be. Yet despite this, I felt that it did have
some limiations, like the instance below. The biggest thing that i noticed was
that when a meeting was scheduled and didn't take place, or a party didn't
'appear' as advised, the fact that we couldn't 'get in contact' with the party
immediately gave a preception of a loss of control and bit of angst. However,
overall for discrete tasks (providing detailed requirements, reviewing plans,
etc.,) with an agreed timeline, CMC was helpful because you could better
manage your time to achieve the objective (within the timeframe)without
being prompted(i.e., chased up).So i think that i can draw from this exercise,
that CMC is most effective when everyone is there, or are only working to
timelines. It's usefullness starts to breakdown when a timeframe isn't meet
or a meeting isn't attended and then a sense of isolotation starts to develop.

Well as I have observed, group project is a very difficult undertaking to
accomplish when using computer mediated communication because of
various reasons of which some are listed below We don't seem to refrequent
our computers likely and this results in missing some important issue which
could have been attended to if the traditional f2f mode of communication
was in place. I believe so made issues are left to be unattended to due to
the limit that exist in written communication as opposed to verbal , be it
phone or face to face. Though there are some disadvantages, I would say to
a certain extend CMC has is own brighter sides. I was able to communicate
with some of the services providers through internet and still and still got
what I wanted within a short period of time. I therefore conclude by saying
that, indeed, I have left something from CMC and I will try to integrate it with
other mode to derive maximum benefit. I also say thanks to all my group
mates who were cooperative in all the process though, there were
sometimes some delays in getting the required response well in time but this
could have been to some reasons I have stated above.

This virtual project has been a great experience and I enjoyed working with
my group members. I think it is important for us students to at least have
one experience in virtual management. Trying to imagine that our group
members are in a different country and making us use different types of
communication channels in order to interact with them, was a challenging
but rewarding experience. From this we now know which type of
communication is relevant for which issues. The one thing that I was very
overwhelmed with is the members‟ commitment and dedication towards the
group and the project. A great team effort!

Having this kind of virtual project was kind of hard but interesting. It‟s hard
not because of the assignment, but because of the communication problem.
It‟s harder for me to do work without having to meet each of the group
members although we passed on our work. In communication sense, it‟s a
little bit hard for us to meet together hence that we seldom rock up on the
same time. On the other hand, it‟s interesting how we interact when we did
this assignment. We never met each other and we just trust each other and
passed on our work. This is the 1st time I experienced online group work
where the work is done without ever met my other group mates. In short, I
did enjoy this group work, and I think placing time and trust is indeed holding
the key to finish the work.

Evaluation on communication
• From examining the diagrams, the group members
preferred to use three types of communication
methods which are WebCT private Mail, Bulletin
Board and the WebCT Chat.
• There is a high frequency of uses for the mail and
the board. This is because it helps to keep the
information for future references, convenient for
the members to look at the project status and
reducing information overload. The use of the Web
Chat room was to clear any uncertainty and the
time taken is usually longer than the mail and the
board.
