Writing Assignment

Challenge A Exposition

Week 13

Homework

• Your homework this week is to

revisit an earlier assignment.

• Choose the paper you think is least

representative of your best effort.

• Revise that paper.

But my first assignment

was good enough!

• Many of you are wondering why you are being

asked to revisit an earlier paper; especially

since you already “did your best.”

• The goal of this exercise is to revise and

expand a previously written report. You are

encouraged to use of the new stylistic

techniques you have learned and to advance

your use of verbs, adjectives, adverbs, et al.

• Inspiration: Pretend you are going to submit

your revised report to a national essay

competition. Do your best, wait a day, then do

even more of your best… make this a

masterpiece!
