EMERGENCY EVACUATION
During an emergency, it is very important
that everyone has a clear understanding of
the evacuation plan. In addition, keep in
mind these tips.
EVACUATION TIPS
Adhere to building evacuations immediately. Do not

assume it is a false alarm.

Remain calm and carefully follow the instructions of
emergency personnel.
Be familiar with the emergency evacuation plan and
exits of the building where you are staying/visiting.

If there is an emergency, move to the closest exit. If
flames or smoke are in that exit, proceed to the nearest
and safest alternative exits.

In wheel chairs on non‐ground level floors, proceed to the
nearest enclosed stairwells and wait for the Princess Anne
Fire Department or UMES Public Safety to arrive.
