MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (10-15 MAX) • • • • • • • • • • Providing advice to internal and external customers on pest control matters Carrying out routine visits to premises/land under contract for survey and treatment as appropriate Responding to service requests, surveying, assessing and treating premises/land as appropriate Assisting with the maintenance and control of permanent bait stations Assisting with the enforcing of pest control legislation as appropriate; attending court and other hearings, giving evidence as necessary Liaising effectively with officers in other business units, especially in relation to work undertaken on council land/property Supporting the dog warden service when required including providing advice to internal and external customers on dog warden matters Collecting stray dogs and returning them to their owners or, to the Council’s contracted kennels for safe storage Responding to dog fouling incidents and fixing signs/notices in public places Carrying out enforcement work relating to the Control of Dogs including the provisions of the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996
