Dear Sir or Madam:

Canadian Petcetera Limited Partnership ("Petcetera"), a bankrupt in receivership

By Order of the British Columbia Supreme Court made June 16, 2009,
PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. (“PwC”) was appointed Receiver-Manager of the assets and
undertakings of Canadian Petcetera Limited Partnership and Canadian Petcetera Warehouse
Inc.

Petcetera’s records indicate that you were an employee of Petcetera for some or all of the
period commencing September 20, 2008 through to June 16, 2009. Petcetera’s records further
indicate that, as at June 16, 2009, you were not owed any wages by Petcetera. We are writing
to you to verify that this is the case.

If you believe that as of June 16, 2009 you were owed any wages (including vacation pay,
commissions, bonuses or other compensation) by Petcetera, please prepare a statement
itemizing such amounts and specifying the date(s) such compensation was earned. Mark that
statement as “Schedule A” and attach it to the Proof of Claim form which is enclosed with this
letter. The amount of unpaid wages should be entered on the Proof of Claim in Section E. In
Section E(i) you can claim the amount of unpaid wages earned during the period between
September 20, 2008 and June 16, 2009, to a maximum amount of $2,000. Any unpaid wages
for that period in excess of $2,000 should be included in Sections A and A(ii).

If you believe you are owed severance based upon the provincial legislation relevant to you,
please provide your calculations on a schedule, mark that as “Schedule B” and attach it to your
Proof of Claim. The amount of any severance should be entered on the Proof of Claim form
in Sections A and A (ii) (together with any unpaid wages in excess of $2,000 – see above).

The total of all the amounts you claim should be entered in paragraph 3 of the Proof of Claim
form.

Please ensure that you complete all the contact information on the Proof of Claim, sign it and
have it witnessed (any individual may witness your signature) and return the Proof of Claim
form with the relevant schedule(s) to the attention of Kelsey Roste of our office by mail to the
letterhead address, by email (kelsey.l.roste@ca.pwc.com) or by fax (604-806-7806) to the
attention of Kelsey Roste.
If we do not hear from you by Friday, July 31, 2009, we will proceed on the basis that
you agree that you are not owed any wages by Petcetera in respect of the period
September 20, 2008 through June 16, 2009.
