Dear Colleagues



The Fédération Française de Badminton (FFBa) is proud to invite your players to

compete in the “Yonex Badminton French Open 2009”, which is part of the

prestigious BWF World Super Series.



This letter, which includes all the General Information concerning the Event, the

enclosed application forms and accommodation forms contain important details that

should also be brought to the attention of the Team Manager as well as the players.



You will find enclosed to this Official Invitation:

- The Accreditation Form (Appendix 1 – Sheet 2)

- The Visa Request Form (Appendix 1 – Sheet 3),

III. COMPETITION DETAILS AND REGULATIONS



GENERAL RULES The competition is organized in accordance with the Competition

General Rules and with the specific rules of the BWF Super Series.



The Championship will be run strictly in accordance with the BWF Super

Series regulations.



The Organizer reserves the right to decide on the numbers of entries

admitted into the qualifying rounds.



ENTRIES All entries must be sent through or with a supporting letter from

National Associations. Entries from Member Associations of the BWF

should be sent on the enclosed form.



Entries close on September 22nd 2009.



No entry fee is payable by any competitor nominated as entrant by the

national association.



WITHDRAWALS Any notification of withdrawals with appropriate certification must be

given immediately to the Tournament Organizers by fax or email.



Withdrawals made after October 11th 2009 for whatever reason shall

be subject to a penalty as mentioned in the BWF Super Series

regulation.



SEEDING AND Seeding of players shall be done by BWF on October 8th and draws

DRAWS will be conducted in accordance with the BWF Super Series regulations

on October 13th.



SCORING SYSTEM Rally Point System = 3 * 21 points



COMPETITION All events will be on a strict timetable system. Competitors should be

REQUIREMENTS ready to play 30 minutes before their scheduled time. Competitors who

AND WARM-UP are not ready to play at their scheduled time will be disqualified.

TIME

On the court, before a game, warm-up time is limited to 2 minutes.

DRUG-TESTING Drug testing will be conducted randomly during the Championships.



MEDIA All players must strictly adhere to any request of the Organizers to

REGULATIONS attend all marketing, advertisement and promotional activities related

to the event as per the BWF regulations for Super Series.

IV. CLOTHING AND ADVERTISING REGULATIONS



ADVERTISING BWF Competition Regulation 23 will apply. Advertising on clothing shall

be in accordance with the prevailing regulation of the BWF for Super

Series.



Advertising for tobacco and alcohol companies is completely forbidden

by the French law.



NAMES AND BWF Competition Regulations 19 to 22 and any subsequent regulations

COLOURS will apply. The BWF Regulations require players’ names to be on the

back of their shirts and give the option of also having their country

and/or advertising beneath the name. This Regulation also applies to

the Qualifying Rounds.



It is mandatory that players wear different coloured clothing to their

opponent(s) from quarter finals onwards.



It is mandatory for doubles partners to wear the same colour from the

quarter finals onwards, and opposing players/pairs in each match must

wear different colours from each other.



In the event that the opposing players/pairs involved in a match wish to

wear the same coloured clothing, the player/pair placed lower in the

draw will be required to wear clothing of a different colour.



OTHER Please refer to the BWF Competition Regulations for additional

V. SERVICES



PRACTICE Practice courts will be available from Sunday October 25th, at the

FACILITIES Coubertin Stadium. Dedicated shuttles will be available for transfers

from the Hotel to the Stadium and from the Stadium to the Hotel.



Please send in advance your estimated requirements by filling in the

enclosed form. Bear in mind that we cannot guarantee satisfying all

requests.



ACCOMMODATION You can find all the details of the Hotels pre-booked by the organizers in

the Accommodation form enclosed to this invitation (Appendix 2). All

the payment procedures as well as the cancellation conditions are

available on the enclosed form.



You can also find the Booking Form (Appendix 3) and the Rooming

List (Appendix 4) enclosed to this invitation.



TRANSPORTATION Transportation between CDG Airport, Orly Airport and Beauvais-Tillé

Airport, and the Hotels and the Venue will be organised. Please inform

us about your travel details (arrival and departure) filling in the

Booking form (Appendix 3) enclosed to this invitation letter.



Please submit your final travel details no later than October 22nd.



ACCREDITATION In order to facilitate the accreditation process, kindly fill in the

Accreditation form (The form contains all the details) and email the

form and photograph of players and officials to: entries@ifbyonex.com.

Deadline: October 16th.

MEDICAL Full medical and physiotherapy services will be provided at the Pierre de

FACILITIES Coubertin Stadium.



PLAYERS LOUNGE A lounge fully dedicated to the players and the teams is available near

the warm-up courts. All kind of information, about the competition,

accommodation, transportation… will be available inside this lounge.



STRINGING Yonex Strings will be available free of charge for players sponsored by

Yonex. (strings + laying + grip)



Other players will have to pay a fee to benefit from this service:



- 10 € (All Tax Inclusive) if the strings are supplied

- 21€ (ATI) for Yonex BG65 (strings + laying)

- 23€ (ATI) for Yonex BG68 (strings + laying)

- 24€ (ATI) for Yonex NanoGy 94 (strings + laying)
