To would be Cooperators
Enclosed is a Cooperator Agreement, which establishes a working relationship
between yourself as a cooperator and the Strafford County Conservation District. Such
Agreements have been in existence from the formation of the Strafford County
Conservation District (SCCD) in 1947. The District is your local connection to the
Federal Agency, the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and helps set
priorities for the programs offered locally and assists with how and what projects will be
done under what programs. The District Board is made up of local land owners like your
self from around the County with diverse expertise. Work done under Natural Resource
Conservation Service (NRCS) programs on your land requires such an Agreement. This
Agreement ensures three-way participation between yourself, the SCCD and NRCS. The
SCCD looks forward to your participation in programs which promote sound natural
resource conservation practices on your lands.
All information regarding projects done on your land is confidential.
There is no fee in association with this agreement.
Also enclosed is a brochure which briefly explains the mission of the Strafford
County Conservation District and the services we offer. Please fill out the Agreement and
return to us in the envelope provided.
As the Strafford County Conservation District Manager, I thank you for your
prompt attention to this matter and look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
Bambi Miller, District Manager
Strafford County Conservation District
