ATHLETE INVESTMENT PROGRAMME
CYCLING
Agreed 2011/2012 Minimum Performance Standards
These performance standards have been agreed with Cycling Ireland as
minimum performance criteria for the Athlete Investment Programme. In
addition to meeting the agreed criteria for consideration for AIP support,
athletes must also demonstrate their future potential to achieve international
sporting success at Olympic, World, European or Commonwealth level.
Sport: Cycling – Road Cycling
Category: Criteria for 2011
1-3 Points or KOH competition in one of the Grand
Tours (Giro Femine or La Route de France for
women)
World Class 1-12 in the World Championships
1-12 in the Olympic Games
1-10 Overall in any European Pro Tour event (and
women’s equivalent of pro tour)
13-30 in the World Championships
13-30 in the Olympic Games
1-5 in the World U23 Championships
1-3 in the European U23 Championships
International
11-20 overall in any European Pro Tour event
(Giro Feminine and La Route de France for
women)1-5 overall in a European UCI 1.1 event1-
5 on final GC in a European UCI 2.1 event
1-3 overall in a non European UCI 1.1 event
1-3 on final GC in a non European UCI 2.1 event
