Eligibility: All artists must be 18 years of age or older and reside in the continental United States. Any
traditional or non traditional two dimensional or three dimensional medium or style, including but not
limited to painting, drawing, fiber art, clay, metal, stone, printmaking, and mixed media may be submitted.
Work must be current since 2007 and CANNOT have previously been shown in a Rome Art Coterie juried
show. Plexiglas must be used in place of regular glass when shipping artwork normally exhibited under
glass. DO NOT USE: Styrofoam peanuts as packing material.
Juror: Michael Marling de Cuellar: Michael is an Associate Professor of Art at North Georgia College and
Sate University. Marling de Cuellar's works have been exhibited nationally and internationally and are
featured in both private and corporate collections here and abroad. As a curator he developed the
Southern Printmaking Biennale which is a survey of contemporary printmaking in America.
Dimensions: Framed size of wall mounted work not to exceed 40” in width. 3 dimensional base limit is
24” x 24”.
Entry Fee: $30 nonrefundable fee ($20 for Coterie members)
Entry: Up to three pieces of artwork may be submitted for consideration. All entries must be submitted on
CD. Slides are not accepted. Each CD must provide title of work, artist’s name, medium, and size. Each
entry must correspond with entries listed on entry form. Do not send images depicting “detail” of 2D
work. Each three dimensional work may be represented by up to three images. Acceptable image file is
jpeg format ONLY. DO NOT send submission images embedded in, or as a part of, any type of
presentation, page layout, or graphic design program such as: Microsoft Powerpoint,
QuarkXpress, Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, etc. We cannot accept such
submissions.
If sending entries by Express Mail, Fed Ex, UPS, etc. please sign Waiver of Signature so that mail can be
left by carrier. CDs will not be returned.
Accepted Work: Artists will be responsible for delivery of work to and from Rome, Georgia. All artwork
must be ready for display/hanging. The artist is responsible for any insurance on his/her work during
transit and exhibition. (While excellent security is in place and utmost care is given to all entries, the
Rome Art Coterie and River City Bank do not assume any liability for damage or loss before, during or
after an exhibition.) Artwork may be hand-delivered or shipped.
Awards: First Place $1,000, Second Place $300, Third Place $200. Five Honorable Mentions: $100.
Awards will be presented at the opening reception. Images on CD will be used for jurying show
acceptance only.
Sales: A 35% commission on all exhibition sales will be deducted if the artwork sells. Any work not priced
will be considered Not for Sale. Note: The price submitted on Juried Show Registration Form (below) will
be the price represented at the time of the show if work is accepted. Changes are unacceptable.
Agreement: Submission of CD and/or works to this exhibition constitutes agreement on the part of the
artist to all terms and conditions of this prospectus, which includes the right of Rome Art Coterie to use
entries for publicity.
