FIFTH GRADE SUGGESTED READING LIST



All incoming fifth graders will have one mandatory book to read. All students will

read The Indian in the Cupboard by Lynne Reid Banks. Students should read the

book and be ready to discuss it on the first day of school. Listed below are other

books your child may enjoy reading during the summer. *Students may choose any

book from the list for their monthly book reports. If they would like to read a book

that is not on this list, they need to have it approved the first of the month.
