POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the development of Northland Family Help Center’s Community
Education Programs promoting the prevention of rape and sexual violence through education and
outreach with youth, and youth-associated adults.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the planning and development of NFHC’s community education program, focusing on
sexual violence prevention education for youth and associated adults.
Develop content of educational presentations
Manage delivery and coordination of the community education programs, including workshop
facilitation and educational trainings.
Assist in the development of funding for educational programming, through joint composition of
proposals and applications and identification of sources
Ensure compliance with programmatic specifications of applicable grants and contracts
Other duties as may be assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Curriculum development and program planning and evaluation
Knowledge of broad scope of issues related to sexual violence prevention and education, including
multiple prevention paradigms.
Knowledge or experience with diverse cultural issues related to family and personal relationships.
Computer knowledge in word processing and data base management.
Ability to communicate well in a variety of formats, such as report writing, public speaking and
educational presentations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health or Education

Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human
Resources.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Behavioral Health or Education
Experience in direct education, preferably interactive, youth-centered education, and adult training
Experience working with grant-funded programs
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY:
Director of Community Based Services
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
Driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
Successful annual TB Test
Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card
Any other certification or acknowledgment as may be required by NFHC, its funders or Licensure
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires considerable “desk-time” as well as periods of mobility
Must have the ability to communicate fluently and effectively with all age groups
Reliable personal transportation is required for travel inside, as well as outside, the immediate
geographic area.
