Dear Sir/Madam,
The Kitchener-Waterloo Predators Volleyball Club is an elite volleyball program based in Kitchener, Ontario established so athletes can continue to play and improve their volleyball skills. The goal of the program, is to prepare athletes for college or university programs while maintaining high standards of sportsmanship and integrity in their play. The club is registered and operates under the rules and guidelines of the Ontario Volleyball Association and competes in Provincial, National, and International competitions. Club volleyball is an excellent athletic pursuit, the ideal avenue to progress and advance in the sport, and affords the opportunity to develop respectable young men who are driven to achieving excellence.
The club volleyball season spans a period from October to May of each year. During the season, the club teams, ranging in age from 13-18 years old, practice 2 to 4 times per week and participate in competitions on select weekends, mostly at out of town locations. The Predators club has achieved numerous successes in its brief history; with our 18U Girls team finishing 2nd in Provincials and 5 th nationally as well as our 16U Girls team finishing 4th nationally in addition to being the top Ontario team finish. In addition many of our graduating athletes have secured positions on top universities including the University of Kentucky, University of Waterloo, University of Alberta and the University of Calgary. These great successes in such a short time span are truly a testament to the caliber or our program, our athletes and our coaches.
In order to continue to be successful in the club’s goals and provide athletes the continued competition necessary to further their development, the club is looking for financial support from individuals and businesses. Predators needs assistance with costs such as purchasing equipment and uniforms, travel to competitions, specialized training sessions, accommodations, provincial association registration fees, tournament participation fees, and facility rentals. Funding is presently 100% covered by the parent group of these athletes. This small pool of resources can be prohibitive when taking into account the costs attending of national and international tournaments, as the caliber of these teams would dictate.
This year, the KW Predators volleyball club is hoping to develop relationships with companies and individuals interested in supporting this program. In return for their support, the club would recognize sponsors on our webpage, emails and distributing promotional materials during the season. With your support, we would be able to help those players who might not be capable of paying the full club fees or extend player’s playing experience by attending tournaments outside of Ontario and Canada appropriate to this level of competition.
