HUMBLE NOON LIONS CLUB – December 12, 2006
Present: Tom Crowell, Tom Cook, Tony Austin, Bob Heffner, Vicki Pruitt, Ron Abshire,
Duane Meyer, Tony Braddick, Karen Perkins, Tim Bates, Rose & Herman Baumann

Meeting was opened by Vicki Pruitt. Minutes were approved as presented.
Tony reported that the Administrative Account is even.
Vicki stated that Tony Austin will be nominated for the Hall of Fame. She has received
past information from Tony and will coordinate the nomination with Tony Braddick who
is chairing the committee.
Film Festival is January 13th at the AMC Theater, Deerbrook.
Golf Tournament will be held March 26, 2007 at Oakhurst. Wayne Ingram is chairing
and needs members to chair committees (list sent to you last month). He will have a
meeting at the Wells Fargo Bank on Main Street in Humble. Thursday, January 4th, 8:00
AM, please plan to attend.
Oakhurst will set up the drink stations, we stock and will need donations for drinks and
snacks. Tim Bates will supply the snacks.
We will ask sponsors to pay $250 for drink stations and $100 for hole sponsors. Other
sponsorships will be $5000, $2500, $1000 and $500.
We have bags and mugs left over from last year for ‘Goody Bags”. Will need other items
for the bags.
Vicki will check into a donation to the Handicap Park on Atascocita Road.
All members are urged to attend the Mid-Winter Conference, January 20th at the North
Harris Community College, cost $12.00 per person.
Tony Braddick again asked if we would host the District Conference in 2008. The Club
has agreed to do so. The conference will be January 18, 2008 for approximately 100
people. Vicki will contact the Civic Center to reserve the date. We will need door prizes.
It was suggested that tickets be distributed and drawn at each break, winner must be
present to win.
Tom Cook reminded everyone of the Tree planting, January 27, 8:30 AM. Participants
are to park in Lot D at the airport and will be shuttled to planting areas.
